I discovered GoG in 2014 when I was looking for a copy of Freespace 2 for the Diaspora mod. If I knew about it sooner, I would've been here.

I don't post on the forums often, but get on here every now and then. I have seen some threads get a bit out of hand, but I still never saw anything close to the disrespect and flaming that goes on in other forums like EA or PDX.

It is entirely possible that I missed some of the worst threads, but I think overall this is the best community I had the pleasure of being a part of.

I'm in a similar position as you are Gylfe, visiting every now and then and luckily (thanks to limited time) avoiding any displeasing behavior or comments. Actually, I wrote in a similar vein as you are now not so long ago but, just as Oddeus pointed out, this last time I came back and realized that a good member of the community had been bullied out of the forums. Even if it's just one bad thing in a sea of good doings, I honestly felt a bit sad about it.
I don't know about other forums or sites but I'm hoping this one doesn't become a sociological spiral of silence where different opinions drain into a commonly accepted behavioral pattern.

are you on crack?! this community has great members, although most of them are inactive or left gog for various reasons. but there are also many, many, really many a**holes in here and it seems that they were here since the beginning of gog. also if one a**hole leaves the forum then 3 new join it.
