Hi gwent affectionados,

I don't know if this is a matter of the latest patch, or if it is more a matter of the changes they are making witch the ranked matches process. Since I am sick and cannot work, I have a lot of time, which I fill with gwent a lot and have over 1000 ranked matches behind me. Was able to achieve rank 7 so far. I say this only to prove that statisticaly my observations when I play must have some meaning...

Well, what I wanted to say: for a couple of days the game behaves most strangely... Here's what I found out:

1) achieving a higher rank is a demotivating process full of stress; most of the time I oscillate between the lower and higher limit of a rank; like - the game lets me to have a series of wins, which are followed by series of devastating defeats where I loose everything I already gained and much more; luckily you can't go a rank lower this way, you just loose rank points. In these loosing phases I can see that the game chooses EXACTY such opponents that as if would exactly know what deck I will use, what strategy I will use and what card will I draw. The game often does not let me draw the key cards I need for the specific strategy, like the Infantry for it's being multiplied with Foltest... Also, suddenly everyone has at least 3 mardroeme cards ready to counter my boosting of the infantry cards strength with the very same cards. Which is more than suspicious, since when I play another deck and another strategy suddenly almost nobody plays mardroeme cards!

Could it be that the process of "looking for a worthy opponent" could be manipulated? Maybe because the developers try to program "luck witch cards" or try to make the matches harder for more experienced players? I believe I am not at all such a bad gwent player that I should get a 10/90 winning/loosing ratio... I have different decks using different strategies and change them when I play... Should the choosing of an opponent be rather an absolutely random process than a process of comparing the decks first and choosing such an opponent that has a more powerful deck and is more likely to win the match?

2) Yesterday and today the game started to go completely nuts... I played many games where I could not annihilate the opponent's cards with mardrome/spores while he could destroy mine, or when I used weather cards like the Biting Frost they had absolutely no effect on the opponent while when he was using them on me they worked perfectly... What should I think when I see this? How representative is then such a win or loss??

Has anybody encountered this? Let us share our experience...
