OK, that's weird. Last couple of days I'e noticed this tab called "Top 10 RPGs" showing up at the front page here. See the first attached image "rpg.jpg".

I assume it has something to do with a search of mine or the fact I have some number of RPGs in my wishlist? When I click it (see "rpg2.jpg" image) it has just those 10 RPGs selected, and when I click on "clear filters" it goes back to all games, but the damn tab itself won't leave the front page, though it seems to switch positions from left to right and back.

So whats that thing and how do I get rid of it? It starts to annoy me really fast.

How is it more annoying that the rest of "tiles" on the front page?

Anyway, it's just a way GOG brings a bit more exposure to some titles and it's not connected in any way, shape or form to your wishlist.

Yup, something like that. It's a relatively new thing but they had a couple of these already, and it seems to be a bit confusing judging by some threads and questions on the forum. ;)

Yes, it pops up from time to time. I think it's just there to fill space.
Some time ago, a similar tab linking to the various free games on GOG also appeared on occasion, I thnk.

So you see the exact same tile? Or its something different not RPGs for you? It would be smarter if they did use the users' wishlist and/or searches to put up such stuff. Say you hate RPGs and love adventures, a "Top 10 RPGs" tile isn't accomplishing much then except annoying the hell out of you.

It's exactly the same for everyone.

Yup, they are just promoting some GoG-s after all, with the coming of those indie games and whatnot

There probably is going to be Activision promo. ;) Weekend promo, if it starts at the usual time, should be here in 38 minutes.

It's probably just a small list that was put together by the GOG staff. I'm pretty sure they'll do this for other genres as well at some point.
As other people on the forums have pointed out, all it does is link to a search for ten specific games. I get that, I was just saying its far more effective to use the personal information they have access to. I mean other companies are doing that stuff for some years now :p

That search you just made would have about the same results (for selling purposes) as their tile IMO. But I'll leave them to do their marketing.

I usually see the weekend promo start after my usual lunch time, circa 15-16:00 (GMT+2)
