Easy way. Install homm3 hd

The first time, it is unskippable. After first launch, you should be able to skip it.

Editing registry is not enough if the intro vid plays every time. You'll need to edit GOG's ini files in game folder. There's a detailed thread in the game specific forum. Can't help you further as I'm on a cheap tablet right now, and it's hell navigating with it.

The intro is skippable after first launch, however some people still cannot skip it for some reason.

Here is how I successfully configured my system (Windows 11 x64) to skip the intro.
Regedit
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\New World Computing\Heroes of Might and Magic® III\1.0

Edit the value "First Time" and change 1 to 0.

The location of this registry key may be different for other system configurations. If you can't find it here I suggest you Search the registry for "New World Computing".
