Paratech2008: I finally was given a bank card and was allowed to use it for up to 6 transactions online.
That's nice to hear - I was going to say my credit union checking debit card has zero international transaction fees and while it is initially "locked" to a small region, I was able to let my bankers know I occasionally make international purchases, told them it might come from Poland (or Cyprus where I think GoG transactions were processed at the time) and it was no issue for me (it was a fraud protection thing - just like when I travel I let them know and it doesn't get flagged as possible fraud).
If your bank doesn't let you, or charges ridiculous fees I'd say shop around for a new bank - banks need to know they're providing YOU a service for the privilege of using your money, not the other way around.

LOL for posting BEFORE I realized this was a three year old necro
