Was always sort of tempted for this game, but the price put me off. Randomly saw these today & seriously glad I didn't give them a single penny.

‘Welcome to Squad; we pay you like shit, then fire you when your work is finished so we can just take it over,’ former media director PDtv says of $2,400 annual salary

Valve have somewhat come to the rescue.

Man, that's terrible.

Even though I support the Libertarian social perspective, anarchy free market just doesn't work. What happens is, you will get mercury in your food, and everybody will be paid $1 per hour.

You know they put chemicals in the water supply to turn frogs gay.
If true, that's terrible. But from what I understand, none of this has been absolutely confirmed to be true as of yet.
To quote the first (develop-online.net) article:

“To be fair to Squad, the Mexican minimum wage is about $100 USD monthly, so they weren't technically paying anyone lower than the minimum wage... But the US and EU based workers were getting paid far too low to keep themselves with just KSP, and Squad demanded at least the 40-hour-plus weeks, and near release time that easily doubled.”

My question is, why did any US or EU-based worker agree to this salary in the first place, fully aware that it was far below a living wage in their own countries?

Funny how the most flamboyant colored ones are the most potent.
This is absolutely unrelated, devs disliked Squad conditions and left KSP development, then joined Valve.

You should've purchased the game, played it, visited forums, instead of descending into tattle.

Bingo.

Did you know that's actually a stupid oversimplification of a real issue?

There are frogs capable of changing their sex to facilitate reproduction. I'm sure you're aware of it, you must have watched Jurassic Park. People flush a lot of chemicals down the drain. In this case the culprit we're talking about is birth control pills. Maybe they're past the expiration date, or the woman just decided to stop taking them, sometimes they just flush down the old pills. It has been observed that if the sewer ends up in these frogs' habitat this will act like an estrogen bomb overpowering their metabolism, turning them female and making them incapable of turning back, which results in a rapidly dwindling population and a massive imbalance in the local ecosystem.

So no, the frogs are not turning gay, this has nothing to do with sexual preference. It's the result of human negligence and not a conspiracy. Whether or not it's a problem will depend on the local habitat and the sewage system where you live. Just because it affects a 25g frog doesn't mean a 75Kg human is in danger. Besides, it's sewage, you don't drink that. Even if you did it would be heavily treated first to enable human consumption.

I don't like that this has become such a meme for "thing that is obviously crazy and not true", because while the form and connotations it has taken are indeed bullshit, it might harm attempts to fix the real life problem that is being mischaracterized in it.

Bottomline is: If you gotta get rid of some medicine, don't flush it down. You never know what's on the other side of the pipe, or what the chemicals might do to it.

This is the first question that crossed my mind too.

You finally decide to talk to me, and that's why? XD

I didn't make a concerted effort to stop talking to you, but given your posts is it so surprising that I don't feel compelled to respond to them?

That would include this one, if I didn't have an interest in this particular meme.

I have made a concerted effort to be less of a dick around here. If you refuse to notice I'm sorry.

Yeah, you went back to shitposting like you always did.

I mean, that's fine I guess, it sure is preferable to cursing and insulting people, but what would I have to say to you when all you post is memes and puns and lame jokes? Nothing, so I just don't say anything.

This makes no sense.

American and EU software developers moved to Mexico to take a job that paid $200/month... and then complained about "low wages"?

I call shenanigans.

There are some NDAs out there shielding the truth.
