install the same game (gog account) on a different computer then play it from where the first computer saved

If you play it with galaxy and keep it open after exiting the game, it should tell you if the cloud saves have been syniced or not.
Provided that the game supports cloud saves, it will say either "cloud saves syniced" or "cloud saves not syniced" a few miuntes after you stop playing. Keep the galaxy open to see it.

I'd usually go all the way to the game's store page to check. Checking through the setting will save me some time.
