roelibex: So would that expire?
Yes, 8 character gift-codes do have an expiration date from a few months to a year maximum.
When you enter them into the redeem box, the exact expiration date will be displayed.

hummer010: OK. I upped my contribution to the $6 level, and got the Curse subscription thing. I downloaded the client in a windows virtual machine I have setup for this sort of stuff, and managed to redeem the GOG game code!

TL/DR - pay $6 on the Humble Weekly, and you get a coupon you can redeem for one of ten games valued up to $15!
Between this and Lifeless Planet being in the top tier, this bundle became a buy for me. Thank you for the info!
Anyone know what the curse gog thing is?
I was told it was choose 1 of 3 games for free, then someone said it was a code for any game up to $15, then another said choose 1 of 12 games.

Some clarity would help me decide to get it, thank you in advance. (specifically what is the game list, if it is a choose option)

I said it was a code for one of ten games valued up to $15. Some of the games in the list of 10 are more expensive than others.

+1 Well thank you. I didn't know the 1 month membership yielded the same results as a 1 year membership.

Windforge in the bundle already?

Paranautical Acvitity - i thought this was already finished?. surprised its early access. Oh wait wasnt there an issue with this dev a while back?.

Darkout -- good game .had it for a longtime. Not sure why more people arent into it.
Looks good...but i kinda WTF why they added Darkout for 6$ tier. I have some Steam keys it, if folks interested in trade.
BTW, 1$ tier is pretty stuffed with content

Niggles: Windforge in the bundle already?
Already bundled before.
Only two games I want are Lifeless Planet and Edge of Space, but LP is apparently really short. Not sure if worth it.

IAmSinistar: Hmm, the only one I want from this bundle that I don't already have is Darkout. I can wait, it may even show up on GOG when complete. They already sell a regular and a deluxe version on Desura of the pre-release. Of course it could go the way of Dark Matter, too...

HypersomniacLive: Comments on its Steam page don't sound very encouraging regarding completion.
I feared as much. The curse of releasing Episode/Chapter 1 in advance of the finished game.
ChunRide is reporting problems with the "Free GOG game" offer with Curse.

For those that are considering the $6 tier.
Just to let people know that Curse.com have rescinded their offer of a free GOG game when you redeem their free month of Premium membership. They claim all their codes "expired". They now offer another free month in lieu of the game.
I suspect they ran out of codes (24,334 bundles sold) and looking at their analytics found not a lot of people were choosing to stay on. I know I clicked on "Do not renew subscription" immediately after redeeming my game.
So, because the only reason they would partner up with GOG is for mutual profit, if they're not seeing a return i.e. people choosing to pay actual money after the free month runs out - it renews automatically unless you click "Do not renew", then, maybe they're dumping the idea, "expiring" the codes and giving you an additional month instead in the hopes you forget to stop the subscription.

[Edit: HumbleBundle have removed their references to getting a free game as well.]

Cross-posted in Gaming Deals thread, as well.

Yup, looks like they've even removed it from the description of the 30-Day subscription on Humble. Oh well, I was trying to not spend too much on bundles this month so this at least makes it easier to decide to stick with the minimum tier.
