MarkoH01: Chains Of Satinav (have this one only on Steam but don't know if German language is included here)
No German language on GOG and, I think, not on Humble either. Steam seems to have exclusivity with the German language.

avatar
MarkoH01: the two Puzzle Agents (not real adventures but I've bought the Telltale Games and liked em ... unfortunately Telltale is DRM)
The games don't support German on Steam, so it's highly unlikely to be supporting it on the DRM-Free downloads.

avatar
MarkoH01: maybe 1954 and Randall's Monday (again not sure if the DRM-Free versions support German language). I've already written to humble that they should really include which language the DRM-Free versions are supporting. What do I do if I buy a game and after claiming and downloading find out that it does not support my desired language?
1954: Alcatraz and Randal's Monday are already here on GOG with full German language support, so you could just wait to buy them here if you would like to have some peace of mind.

That is what I thought until I found this. It is clearly speaking about a humblebundle and different language installers for COS.

I did not suspect otherwise. I only listed them because I wanted to list every game I am interested - not just the ones in which I want German language.

True - but on humble Alcatraz only costs about 3$/€ so it would be a steal.
Humble Weekly Bundle: ARGGGHHH!! These games are hard.

QP Shooting - Dangerous!!
Velocibox

BTA

All games are DRM-Free+Steam key, except for Wings of Vi, which is Steam-only. In addition, all games are multiplatform, except for QP Shooting - Dangerous!! and Wings of Vi, which are Windows-only.

Is it worth it? Wings of Vi looks good, but Steam only and 8$....

I always look at the fixed tier price as the difference between the BTA and the fixed upper tier. Right now, that's $8.00 minus $2.85, so that would be $5.15 for Wings of Vi. And according to isthereanydeal, the cheapest that Wings of Vi has ever been is $9.89. So, right now, buying the highest tier is for Wings of Vi is a pretty good deal...

Cook, Serve, Delicious! and Tales of Maj'Eyal are awesome games. So if you don't own those by now, you should get the bundle.

Personally I already have CSD and, of course, have ToME here. Nothing else is of interest.

Plus Humble's going all anti-gog this week, so happy to not send them $ for this (or others). :)

I think instead of Steam only Wings i rather get some supercheap russian classics on GOG - Blietzcrieg for 1/2$ for example...

What is "going all anti-gog"? I must have missed something.

Almost all of their weekly sale items, that aren't bound to steam, are available on GOG. The Torchlight 2 dragged in huge amounts of GOG users, who will then never buy all the GOG titles in that bundle from GOG. Now ToME. I assume they're not directly aiming at GOG, but it kinda looked like it to me.

EDIT: However this is the first HIB I've seen, so maybe they've all been like that. Also, GOG is the only catalog I really know by heart, so all comparisons by me from other stores are just going to look at this one...

Most of the Humble Indie Bundles have had a good amount of cross over with GOG catalog. That's not uncommon and likely not intentional. I don't imagine Humble Bundle sees GOG as competition, and Humble has itself offered GOG keys in the past (with Defenders Quest, Retro City Rampage, and a few others). GOG has a policy of allowing bundle keys but only if Steam keys are not also offered for the same game so the lack of more GOG keys in bundles is likely due to GOG's stated policy. I believe this is because GOG doesn't want their keys to become disposal for resale/trade.

I think for COS (I own the same bundle) I could choose the language of the installer, but I also could choose german language ingame!

For Memoria:
I contacted the Humble Bundle support about the german voice over for Memoria.
It seems that it is not included in the DRM-free version. (but they gave me the option to try it out and to process a refund if it is not what I wanted, but until now I didn't)

Thank you. After some thinking I decided to not buy Memoria or CoS. I already have bought them when they were Steam exclusive. The Steam version of Memoria is multi-language and does not need Steam after downloading, so it's basically DRM-Free. CoS is German only in my version and does need Steam - but I found a no Steam patch. I risked buying 1954 Alcatraz (downloading the DRM-Free version now) and Randal's Monday (too big to download it today - it's nearly 4AM). I will post when I now for sure.

Edit: Confirmation: 1954 Alcatraz DRM-Free is multi-lingual for under 3$ at humble.

Ok, I'm not sure about the ingame option of COS anymore, I might mix it up with another Daedalic game...but it surely had german voice over.

The fact, that Memoria don't need Steam running is strange, because then there is no reason that the german version is not included in the DRM-free download.

I can now confirm that the DRM-Free verion of Randal's Monday is multi-lingual as well.

In the Steam version of CoS it was not possible to change the language (you'd have to download a different data.vis to change the language here). In Memoria (Steam) you can switch languages freely through the menu. Yes. Memoria is DRM-free - this is also mentioned in PCGamingWiki - no idea why the DRM-Free version should have only English language - but maybe it has as the people at humble weren't sure either as you said.
