spoderman: For me, Evoland is the only game with value in the $6 tier. Defender's Quest has been 90% off on Steam, and IIRC doesn't require Steam to run.
avatar
Leroux: That value is still subjective though. I found it to be pretty bland compared to Anodyne and Defender's Quest. ;)
True, I don't have it and and have never played it so I have no idea how good the actual game is. I was just speaking in terms of the game's price/not being bundled.

I have heard it's pretty short though (around 2 hours long?)

Do you want it? I own the game already and can give you the gift link.

Sure, I'd play it right now.

Sent, I think.

Thanks, I redeemed it.
The only one of these games I already have is Defender's Quest. This looks like a good bundle for me to pick up. It's nice to support HB supporting open source. Maybe they'll do this more often. A person can hope.

Redfern: Well, looks like Humble taken a little vacation from constant Steam-only bundle and decided to recall times they used to be "drm-free stronghold". And good that they trying to GOG com collaboration (kind of).

avatar
nikmousa: Is this the first time you can redeem on GOG a HB bought game or I am mistaken?

Very very nice either way!
avatar
Redfern: Am...no, you see, Defender's Quest selling in Humble Widgets is coming with GOG.com keys naturally.
Its dev's decision. DQ devs are pretty open about giving keys out including GOG ones.

avatar
tAnt0: Defender's Quest also can be also redeemed on GOG, and there are android versions included for Incredipede and Planet Stronghold.

Retro City Rampage has GOGkey option... i think one other game does as well.

BTW, they call it Open Source Humble Weekly, so...where is source? Or they call DRM-free now "open source"

The Humble Weekly Sale supports open source projects. Each game in this bundle was made featuring some open source tool or library.

Support Open Source! You choose where your money goes: between the developers and/or four open source projects, FlashDevelop, OpenFL, Ren'Py and Haxe Foundation

PaterAlf: All games for Win, Linux and Mac (Anodyne and Incredipede also for Android), all with a Steam key, DRM-free download and Defender's Quest even with a GOG key (think that's the first time for a Humble bundle).
I would bet that Lars had to fight to push that one through - he's known as a strong GOG advocate. Anodyne and Evoland are also on GOG, but neither have GOG keys in this bundle.
That's a pretty good bundle for me, as I have all the higher tier games already (in GOG and/or from HB), while I don't think I have any of the lower tier games yet anywhere. Nice, even if I have no idea what kind of games those lower tier games are, none ring a bell.

That's pretty weak compared to the source releases of Humble 1, 2, and Frozenbyte. :(

Magical Diary (i unsure, looks like dungeon crawler)
NEO Scavenger - its flash based but VERY hardcore postApocalyptic RPG. tons of option and hard decisions.
Offspring Fling - flash based cartoonish platformer. Nice one, but nothing superspecial. Music made by Aquaria OST composer.
Planet Stronghold - its...RPG\Visual Novell hybrid by Winter Wolves. Good game, but niche.

Overall its decent games even for "lower" tier.

P.S. Hmm doesnt its kinda a lot of Flash based games in this bundle? NEO scavenger, Offspring Fling, Anodyne, Evoland, Defender's Quest, Incredipede, they all flash\air games.

Imho, Ren'Py is best option to donate. Its only one REALLY crossplatform here. FlashDevelop, OpenFL - Flash? Nooooo
