I bought Humble September monthly and kept Tales of Berseria before realizing that it had Denuvo - and it doesn't really bothers me.
I also have Monster Hunter and Valkyria C4 on my wishlist, but I doubt I can afford them right now.

Meh. I buy games based on whether I want to play them or not, not based on what DRM they have.

Missing out on something like the 2016 DOOM would be stupid. Yea it's on Steam only. Yea it has DRM. Yea it would be better off without both. Still is a magnificent game that I comprehensively enjoyed.

Instead of avoiding games based on their DRM, I find it to be in my best interest to avoid games based on their gameplay. If a game isn't fun to play, it doesn't matter how much DRM it doesn't have.

I have a confession to make.

This was my fault.
And here I thought you were my fool...

You monster!
I don't have a problem with Denuvo (and I've actually been trying to buy ToB in a bundle split, or at least win it on Steamgifts) but posting this on the GOG forum is basically trolling. This place is the epicentre of the DRM-free movement, and making such an announcement here looks like pure bait to me.

Fair enough - and let's say that perhaps you wouldn't even have reasons to notice it is there in the next decade.

The problem with buying games "protected" by Denuvo is that you implicitly agree that developers/distributors should keep using it - you are essentially "paying tribute to the DRM gods", encouraging this type of behavior. Money is the most powerful mode of endorsement in business and one of the few we, as consumers, can leverage to influence the market with regards to our personal needs and expectations.

Now I want you to say three Hail Marys before bedtime and never do it again.

You beat me to it.
Meh, DRM isn't a big deal at all.

Until they actually manage your digital rights in such a way that you can't play.

But that never happens.

Better than payi g the full price for it. Denuvo should never be purchased at full price.
