I've read the whole thread so far, and others have already said most proper ways of your situation (amazing suggestion that tree climbing! Haven't thought of that!). Going for a walk REALLY helps. I do it, when something has made me sad.
But, since we're in a gaming forum, let me also advise you to play, of your game library, one-hero single-player RPGs! Because (as I see these games, at least):
One Hero (as opposed to controling a team) gives you minimal micromanagement of your character. So, not many skills, spells, "where to spend these points?" kinda stuff. Thus, you can progress easily and quickly (except for Souls-like games, of course :) ).
RPGs let you solve NPCs' problems/quests. This will make you feel better. That you're helping, even digital, people and make their world a better place for them. Especially if that game doesn't have enemy respawn (so, dead monsters stay dead).
Single-player (as opposed to multiplayer) allows you to get in the game whenever you like/feel so, without any obligation that "I have to be there at that time".
You are the hero of yourself.
