Seems no matter what developer/publisher you choose you get to find skeletons in the closet somewhere.
In my 35 years of being a gamer yes i started at 7, i have learned to code games myself, learn the art of soldering, became a engineer, physicist, artist and writer with sound engineering skills too....
I speak 27 programming languages and can pretty much read any code to a hardware level.
and you know how many people gave me a chance ? no one..
i hate video game developers... their all evil on some level.
problem is when a video game does something unexpected i have the brains to freeze the whole system and dump the memory to dig around.
and often you find things that you wish you never saw.
1. developers not encrypting network traffic.
2. update systems that are knocked out by hackers.
3. processes that dominate your system resources harder than a crypto miner
4. invasive data collection tactics.. everything from your most visited websites to your music collection is shared.
some games capture system audio, some go as far as taking a nice bunch if screenshots.
5. some games actual break your operating system's security entirely without the OS developer ever knowing for up to 10 years. looking at you microsoft.
6. gatcha garbage that is clearly exploitive.
7. responsibility, developers write system crippling pieces of code and play stupid, they troll player thru their own systems in game,
8. they feed their ego's lies with punishing their players.
9. they steal ideas, art, audio, you name it.. if you wrote in down on your own pc their going to dig in it using their "anti cheat protection"
10. greedy, hateful pastime.
11. the death of lan and push for more online pay means i have not played a game with bellow 200ping for 20 years now.... i hate it... we have no servers anymore... every time i step online into a game i'm already at a disadvantage... developers really dont care if this is the case, just another free bot for the server.
i am pretty much at anakin skywalker turning dark side at this point.
