"New Action Adventure Game I, The Inquisitor Officially Revealed
A brand new action-adventure game I, The Inquisitor has just been revealed with an intriguing-sounding story premise and a trailer that has divided commentary. Based on the bestselling books by Jacek Piekara, I, The Inquisitor is a dark and story-rich adventure that puts players in the shoes of a religious Inquisitor in the 1500s.
In this alternate version of religious history, Jesus of Nazareth didn’t die on the cross. Instead, he got pretty furious about the whole thing (as you might expect) and responded to his crucifixion with a whole lot of rage rather than forgiveness and compassion.
It turns out that Jesus then creates his own order in the form of an army of Inquisitors, whose job it is to root out sinners and nonbelievers and either show them mercy or punish them. A few centuries on and this Church is pretty blood-soaked and definitely morally tainted, so working out who deserves punishment and who does not should prove to be quite complex work. It’s all very gritty and premise-wise, sounds very interesting. Check out the reveal trailer in full here."
