usually it only appears during big sales.
It sure looks dead by now. We need a necromancer and several vials of large mana potions.

As you wish.

Although not officially dead, it's indeed been awhile since we had any new games on GOG Connect. I'm going 2 jump the gun here & say that it's still alive but in hibernation mode. ;p

In my opinion it may not b up 2 GOG 2 decide when it decides 2 'wake up' as the developers hv 2 agree on giving away a game DRM-free 4 those who had a copy on Steam, that's wat i think anyway.
GOG Galaxy 2.0 has killed GOG Connect, because the GOG team implicitly considers that gathering all your games in one single launcher is better than to import them on GOG, but it's not the same thing for customers ! You don't import your library with Galaxy 2.0, you only have a single place for all your games from different launchers.

Same here. Tried it both time at launch and relaunch and it was frustrating so I gave up.
Just FYI (and I am not trying to bash you, honest!!), but GOG Connect threads come up almost every two weeks or so. There's no real point to bringing up the subject anymore =/

But yeah, I imagine the Connect thing is a pretty hard and expensive thing to do for GOG, so they're probably hoping that the Galaxy 2.0 idea will make you FEEL as though you were connecting your Steam with your GOG, but ... The games remain DRM-chained.

Knowing GOG, I am sure they'd love to unchain your games from DRM, but again, can't imagine it's an easy or inexpensive thing to do for them. I don't want to tell you to lose hope, but you're probably better off re-purchasing your games on GOG whenever they're on sale if you really wish to make sure that your favorites are future-proof.

Personally, I am too paranoid to even wait for a GOG Connect. I have my own policy of trying to re-buy one $10-or-less game on GOG to get that much closer to future-proofing my Steam library.
