I've recently bought the game on GOG because I was interested in downloading the different custom tracks and cars that the community has created. Now as I was about to download the RVGL launcher, I noticed from here that you can get the game data and soundtrack from Re-Volt I/O. I haven't tried downloading the files containing the game data so I still have no idea if those are actually the original game files. If those files are indeed the actual full game, did the game really become free at some point or something?

Thank you.

You know what, thanks for pointing that out further. I guess my brain just went blank for a moment thinking that the game data the website was referring to after that sentence was the original game...

Can one of the mods lock this thread pls? v.v

Pretty sure the versions with game content are leftovers from the time the was was not for sale, kinda like "abandonware". The website had links to GOG.com for the normal versions but then the game was removed on GOG.

I've been wrong before, though.

That could be the case. In any case, I think I'll find out by installing that launcher. Thanks for the answer! :)

Just want to add a print from the ReVolt IO website.

For someone reading the thread, worth noting that the game is again for sale on here, very cheap when on sale:

Thanks! That definitely clears a lot of things.
