Crosmando: What does it matter if it's a game? No one would of even cared for it if it didn't have "Middle-Earth" and "Mordor" in the title in order to give legitimacy to what is nothing but crude fanfiction. On the contrary, I think you have bad taste.
Firstly,I read LOTR 3 times already and it sits on a very special place on my shelf along with my Robert E. Howard's Conan Collection and Dune.
Secondly, insulting people's tastes because they have a different opinion than you makes you seen like a major snob and asshole with a serious superiority complex.
Thirdly,I treat of SoM as Expanded Universe material that details events that happened between The Hobbit and LOTR and you are like those Star Wars fans who bitch and moan about the Expanded Universe and that "only the movies are canon".
And finally,as darthspudius said,it was a very well crafted game with great characters,VA,graphics, gameplay,Nemesis system, sound design and soundtrack.
darthspudius: It could be good for a lot of different type of games. Here's hoping it at least gets picked up by one game.
You keep on crying baby. Mummy will be here soon.
Assassin's Creed could use the system.
