OldOldGamer: ... 2nd Some open-world game. I just recently come across Sleeping Dogs. Is cool....
Having Sleeping Dogs on GOG would indeed be cool.

But a little search shows that the youngest game from Square Enix's catalog we have on GOG is Total Overdose released in 2005. :(
so.... Lets's hope we will see more releases.

Sleeping dogs was cool, bit of depth to the combat. Would rate it higher than gta:sa. Currently running through batman arkham set (on origins now), they are pretty cool open world. Not sure there is much chance of them here though.
Shadows of mordor was disappointing though.
Total overdose is worth playing, was quite fun.
Solution:
Studios like Bethesta don't being dicks and release Prey 2017 also on GOG
Ahhh... Bethesda.

I will not buy anything from them again.

They have the most absolute coolest of ideas.
But not even half-decently implemented.

I ll have a look at Total overdose. I ve dismissed it perhaps to soon.

So, sending feedback to support with my feedback could help?
I gather that they don t care much about it.
Perhaps is worth a try.

This game also has a lot of cool ideas. The combat is really fun. But then the city feels a bit bare bones for 2005 game. There are some activities (something like that) in the city and they are fun to play. But collecting bunus points and upgrade tokens scattered throughout the city seemed a bit of chore to me. Still a fun and crazy game to play.

kbnrylaec: My problem:
Lack of time to play interesting games
avatar
AndreeaB: So true it just seems like you never have time to play what you want to play
yes, it is true, same here.... still need to play 95% of all games bought since 2015
As for lack of new interesting games, there are loads of new games compared to old releases, its like 20 or 30 new games at 1 or 2 oldies.

As for the new games: 99% of it is not my style, tbh most games look like 'steam' kind of games...
Seems long ago members asked or almost complained about too little new games beiing released, now we have tons of them , but the old ones are very rare.

Normally i would be able to buy 6 or 12 games a year, or more, in 2014, and 2015, i bought almost 1 or 2 maybe 3 games a month, 2016 became less , i was able to buy less games ebcause i could not find games i really like among the new games, the last few months i was able to buy 1 or 2 old games , at a thursday release.

Anyway i still hope more old games ( no 3d or old fpp only there are already plenty of it) will arrive instead of 1 old game once a week, after all i am a good old games player and i was 'raised' with old games ....and grew up with old games.

The good part is that i also like simple casual games, started to buy them years ago cause the AAA games were boring , not my style, these are released frequently drm free on cd/dvd and also online as digital only.
I was able to buy some nice simpel hidden object games.

Only way you'll be getting DRM-free on Squnix games is through piracy :D
or play them through console emulators, I'd bet those will work better than anything they release on PC

Did somebody say... madness?
You can either crack into your backlog of 350 games, or you can learn to code and make a game yourself.

This is something I'll never get. I really wish GOG would stop releasing games that I like so I get at least a chance to play a fraction of them to the end... To think that in the 80s/90s we played the same games over and over to pass the time until we got a new one...

"Make a game yourself" ... that actually a good advice... I'd like to do it, but between job, family and the urge to actually play all those games...

Making a game is really some time consuming business (I made two very simply browser games years ago and felt it was a lot of work...).

Complete them? I find myself having trouble getting around to even starting them. Like, I've got Aquaria installed and got a little ways into the tutorial area, but I haven't really bothered with it since. Or The Secret Of Monkey Island, but that mostly has to do with being too lazy to do the simple maze. A lot of games are asking for an investment of time I'm not wanting to commit to. or there are several other games like SMAC that catch my interest sooner over learning a new game.

I know what you mean.... Game devs should go on a five year strike... All of them...

Install Ordeal mod to Painkiller. Or "mods" in general change how game is played. Sometimes, totally.
