Everywhere i go I can find ALL but one of the legacy of kain games, this i feel is an injusice to the saga. There is in fact a game called Legacy of Kain Blood omen, this was the very first game in the saga as the order of games to get the full sotry goes. Legacy of Kain blood omen, Legacy of kain Soul reaver, Legacy of Kain Soul rever 2, Legacy of Kain Blood omen 2 and Then Legacy of Kain Defiance.
Every where I go looking for this game (and to be fair on the saga it to should have been remastred with the others) I can not find the first game ANYWHERE. How can one fully understand a story if they start in the middle?
Please Gog can you work on getting the 1st instalment to the whole saga of the legacy of kain games.

It's called Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, not Legacy of Kain Blood Omen.
There are legal problems with PC version of BO - it's not entirely clear who owns what. It is not the case for Playstation version - the game is available on PSN in most parts of the world.

You can, in fact, find the game in some of the more "grey area" places on the internet...
From what I've heard, it can be a bit tricky to get it to work on modern PCs though. I personally know at least one guy who got it to run, so it seems not impossible, at least.

I didn't know about the PS1 version Paradoks mentioned, but maybe that's worth looking into?

seems like i've been following LOK since before you were born ¬_¬ I have the damn CD copy sitting RIGHT HERE IN MY COLLECTION I know what it's called. and the SAGA is CALLED >LEGACY OF KAIN< not Name of the eria followed by legacy of kain, so to TEACH you the time line goes:
Blood Omen
Soul Reaver
Soul Rever 2
Blood Oman 2
Defiance

ALL CALLED LEGACY OF KAIN BEFORE THEM. ay I know the places you speak of, the little gray places that have some legal loop holes that can be used to emulate them from the PS1 and such the legal lop hole being you must own said console and own a said copy of the game already. It would just be NICE to have it in a "light" area of the internet with the rest of the games if you catch my meaning. ;)

The Legacy of Kain became the name of the franchise only after Crystal Dynamics took over.
If you want to get really technical, the following parts were called:
Legacy o Kain: Soul Reaver
the Legacy of Kain series: Soul Reaver 2
the Legacy of Kain series: Blood Omen 2 (now erroneously called Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain in many places like Steam for example)
Legacy of Kain: Defiance

I hate to break it to you but Paradoks is right. The first game in the series is officially named "Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain". Moral of the story: If you want to be nit-.picky at least make sure you are right or else you will look like a fool. ;-)

P.S.: That isn't the first time that the name of the first entry in a series got so well known that it was changed into the series name. Or does anyone still remember the "Tales of the Unknown" series? Probably only a hand full of people since after the first game the series was renamed. In case anyone is curious what series this is and doesn't remember (or simply wasn't born yet in the mid 80s), the full name of the first game was "Tales of the Unknown - Volume I: The Bard's Tale".

There's a patch that lets it run on modern systems. I can run it fine on my Windows 10 machine.

It's the Kain 2.0 patch. Works for Win 7, Win 8 and Win 10
