I wasn't sure whether to post this on GOG or Steam since it deals with both, but anyways, I noticed someone on my Steam Friend's list has the game they are playing listed as GOG Galaxy, how can I let the plebs over at Steam know when I'm playing my sweet GOG games? Thanks.

You mean that Steam claims your friend is playing a game called "GOG Galaxy"? Well I'd assume that they have added GOG Galaxy as a game to Steam and launched it via Steam.

So just add non Steam game to library? Sounds simple enough, I didn't know if there were extra hoops to jump though, I'll try it out on my desktop later
Yeah you can add "non-steam games" as a shortcut of sorts to steam and launch it through there, even with custom parameters if desired. I suspect that your buddy launches galaxy through steam because they use linux or steamos (deck, steam machine, etc). It's the easiest way to launch windows-anything on linux for casual users without much tweaking. Alternatively you can add those installed gog games directly, that's the way I would do it at least anyway.

Edit: You have the sickest Spiderman avatar there is. They don't make Spiderman like this anymore.

But... why? AFAIK steam doesn't even record time for non-steam applications or anything.

The best Spider-Man content we ever had was this.

Another reason to add Gog games to Steam is for controller mapping. I remember for a while that was, and might still be, the easiest way to play XIII with a controller. Also, that reminds me I need to dig up my collection of Marvel Masterpiece cards I have buried somewhere.
Haha yeah it's the Spider-Man from the 1992 Marvel Masterpieces, I've got the complete set of the 92's. I can't stomach the Disney Nightmare World Marvel stuff, but those old cards were like gold to me a kid.

The Animated Series was also dimes.

Another reason to add Galaxy to Steam is brain trauma.

That's still the best series ever done on Spider-Man.

Ayyyy, you guys are men of culture! Not gonna lie though, when Boukunryu slapped Supaidaman against the cliff around 2:05 mark, I felt the pain of hundred broken bones shoot up through my spine.
