Hey GoG support! (and everyone else who reads this)

I've changed my email account and now i'm unable to receive the authentication email. I've closed the old account and there is nothing i can do to reach to you in hopes you help me.

I'm even contemplating buying Cyberpunk again on another platform to be able to play xD

Is there anything one can do in this situation? I could understand some backlog delaying the answers, but a month? Like, i can't play my purchased games, there has to be some legal liability here.

Yeah, there's where i opened the help request and it's been a month without replies.
A month without any reply is absurd, but I wonder how this situation can even be resolved..
Maybe proving identity with the data used for past transactions could be enough?

I'll agree to that, the thing is that first they'd need to request it, i'm flat out being ignored.

Oh, I misunderstood, sorry about that. Assuming you received an automatic reply email when you opened the ticket, I'd probably start to politely ask one of GOG staff members mentioned in this thread about your ticket if I were in your shoes.

Ok, I gotta ask: what's the exact timeline here?

The GOG account you use for this thread is from September 2023 (so: maximally 21 days old by now).
Yet you say, you contacted GOG support " a month ago"...(= prior to the existence of this GOG account - if your statements are true).

So, I take it, you contacted them while still using your old email address and another (older) GOG account?

And now you access GOG via both: a new email account AND a new GOG account?

How are they supposed to connect the dots here?

If you indeed contacted them from your old email addy, they probably sent you your "support request received" message to your old email account, too.
And any possible subsequent email(s) after that.

Which, of course, you can't access anymore, since you closed/deleted that old email account - before you made sure that your new one would work satisfactorily with all the sites, you may still have an interest in.

May have been a little prematurely.

Well, that's one typical case of PEBCAK.
My theory (philosophical theory) is that GOGs support thinking that there are spam waves and waiting for a tide to go low and starting to answer once the weather is better. Imagine they have now 500 unanswered tickets (or times five). Let's give them suggestions on what to do with it.

my suggestion is to hire more people for tickets, they could work from home several hours, and have Contributions to retirement and medical insurance...

A person can answer 10-20 tickets a day, (15?) I mean answer truly to show portals care and savior vivre and some good-looking smile... How do I know? Because of me working with tickets in the past for two months for a different company.

We need at least 10 people for tickets alone. Focused, gentle, careful, and heart full people treated nicely by the company.

And some work on how to identify genuine tickets, how to decrease the number of tickets, and with big letters (but I will use small) how to enter communication: portal 2 users? as tickets look like the only way to talk with someone from the company. I want to talk with someone from any company that I am a year or longer with just to see if these are well-invested time and money. Feelings are more important to me than games. I guess I am here for feelings and my answer would have no production value ; ) until... Treat me as I want it is stronger than my patience. Like you Natheedog. Best wishes, I believe in your case : )

Ok so:

1- Yes, i'm retarded for closing the account before making sure that everything is correctly configured, but it's the account i've had since i'm 14 (40 now) i was fed up with how many times it's been leaked and posted on Pastebin for people to fuck with it. It's been like 4 or 5 times that people has used my personal information to open accounts on weird websites and i had it. Yes, my fault, but try to understand my frustration.

2- No, i'm not stupid, i understand that opening a ticket without mentioning the new account would leave them unable to contact me.In fact, when opening the ticket they explicitely say "Please make sure to provide your contact email address in the form. Keep in mind that any further communication will be sent to this mail..". So yeah, i opened it from my old account, but mentioning the new one.

3- The ticket dates from Aug 26th, so not a month, but almost.

4- I've opened quite a few tickets, from the old account, from the new account, from the old mentioning the new and viceversa, i've replied to the tickets saying "hey, anything new", i've attached my personal ID, mentioned the password, games in it, etc.

5- "And now you access GOG via both: a new email account AND a new GOG account?" YES i'm, running out of options, i don't know what the fuck to do, i'm locked out of my legitimate purchases and having no contact after almost a month. As additional, i've contacted them on:

- Twitter
- Facebook

I know you want to see me as dumb and careless whiny customer, but trust me, i'm wasting WAY too much time into something that should be fairly easy to fix. I mentioned both emails in every single instance of communication i've tried to get to them, to no avail.

I don't understand why you sound so bitter and angry man, why

How did you pay for your games? If you used Paypal, try and download Paypal receipts as the code underneath "Purchase details" is actually the same as the GOG order ID, ie, it could provide proof of purchase of something on your account. You obviously can't login to GOG to download GOG receipts but perhaps you can provide proof of purchase via whatever payment method you used in the past.
