I assume we've got some board games enthusiasts here, so I thought you guys might help me.

I've been playing Ghost of Tale recently (probably one of the best games I ever played in my life, by the way), and it reminded me of a very fun board game I played with my friends soem years ago, called Mice and Mystics. Are there more board games with a similiar theme of "high fantasy with antropomorhic animals"? Basically like the Redwall novels? It doesn't have to play like Mice and Mystics, which is basically a dungeoncrawler co-op game, those are easy enough to find.

Thanks! Those two defnately look best, and closest to what I had in mind. Especially Sewer Pirates, though Stuffed Fables seems to have better reviews. I'll have to read up on both.

If it doesn't have to be a physical board you might want to have a look at Armello. It's only at Steam though since the game got kicked off GOG after being abandoned. But that game should be exactly what you want according to your description.

Yep, I know of it (and remember the GOG version controversy well), but being only available on Steam it's of less use to me than ten thousand spoons when all I need is a knife.

Again - no figures, but very nice playing material and the possibility to morph your character into a fighting animal.

Oh and it's co-op.

The samurai theme is actually a turn-off for me, but the lack of miniatures probably makes the price much more reasonable. I found a game that is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, Tail Feathers, but it's as expensive as it is pretty.

That's one helluva great game, isn't it? I really hope they're able to do a sequel for it.

It really is. It's a wonder of immersion and worldbuilding, and almost painfully gorgeous too. It's a rare thing that I actually enjoy fetch quests because they give me an excuse to just wonder around the locations. The only thing I could possibly imagine making it better would be if it was fully voiced (I especially wish I could actually hear the songs, since they are such an important part of the game).

I love anthropomorphic animals from an early age I was playing such games with my grandfather. Cant wait for the next edition. Mice are my favourites.

Hmm. All of the board games I enjoy are abstract strategy games, which means they don't have stories, characters, or themes (such as fantasy, sci-fi, etc).
