When I tried to download the "Update" to the mac client my virus scanner flagged it as containing "Malware" and halted the download.

What the hell is up with GOG?

virus scanner? on a mac? just get rid off of that unless thing. Apple already do too much to protect your computer (SIP and Gatekeeper just to make few example of "features" that I think are good just for beginners), and there is also an integrated system protection, remotely updated by Apple.
About that "virus scanner", of course it is a false positive.

Galaxy doesn't have viruses.

And I agree with LiefLayer, uninstall that thing.

What a waste of space, having that garbage installed in your computer.
