I'm sorry I can't help but you can try looking at the MoHAA forum: click Community at the top, then search the game name or series in "Game specific forums" bar in the bottom left (in your case, "medal of")

also GOG has a new generous refund policy so I wouldn't worry

Likely this:
https://www.gog.com/forum/medal_of_honor_series/spearhead_and_breakthrough_crashing_at_startup_with_no_error_message_fix_fix_fix

If not, you need to provide information, what operating system, galaxy or offline installers? Ensure you install (everything) outside program files and other windows folders, e.g c:/mygames

thank you
Thanks to all but I'm giving up on it. I just don't understand where to find files I need to change and and which ones and how without step by step instructions. I'm stupid when it comes down to this. why haven't they done an update on the files or patch or something

Could it be an Opengl32 error? I know I experienced this before. You could try this and see if it helps. The download and instructions should all be on the page I linked.

The nature of PC gaming is that because of so many hardware/OS configurations out there, not every game's going to work right away on every system, especially older ones. (that's the appeal of console gaming for some, simplicity)

You just locate the install path, may look like: c:/mygames/game.exe
And rename the game.exe to mohaa.exe
(Assuming game is the name of course).
You do need to know paths and file names to be able to use a PC.

If I may add a small suggestion: I think OP would appreciate more detailed instructions on how to actually get to those files. Not only the path, but which icons to click and in what order (like My Computer, select drive C: and so on). Windows hides file extensions by default, so that also may require some explanation.
I don't have a windows machine so I can't provide any specific details nor screenshots myself...

It is a basic operation of using a computer, I am not paid to do introductory courses on PC use. Perhaps you can do some videos on how to use a keyboard and a mouse first off?

I'm just reading what OP wrote, repeating "locate that path" is not enough. But you can write it as many times as you want if you think that helps. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nightcrawler is right in what he says sorry I just don't know how to get to the right thing to do what I have to do. I've worked at building computers for years and repairing them my weakness is software and new to win 10. thank you nightcrawler for explaining it better. I realize it was asking alot for someone to write down and take the time for step by step instruction sorry if I'm not as smart in this but just thought I would ask

No worries, hope you get it fixed. It’s great game by the way.

I don't know if this helps but you can go to the search box (which is on the taskbar right at the bottom of your windows desktop screen) and write MOHAA. (see image file attached to this reply).

It'll probably give you the location of the file and other options. Try to go directly to the game folder and do as nightcraw1er.488 suggests and rename the files accordingly.

Just occurred to me, there's no point in renaming any of expansion exes, if it's the base game that crashes.

What JogsterXL suggested is more likely to help. Although I'd be wary of downloading files from sites I don't know... OpenGL issue/possible workaround is also mentioned on PC Gaming Wiki entry about MoHAA.
