I just bought it on GOG GALAXY yesterday. Anyone here got MK 4 too. If yea, have you got any problems when playing it. It has frozen a few times with me when I play Arcade in the first match under less than 1 minute it froze. When I open the game it starts good, only after playing it a first minute or less it crash-freeze. But then It plays normal and had no problem but the problem started again last night. Hopefully, it fixes or they fix this little problem. I understand MK 4 just finally gets a digital version. So I guess like some games, it has some little glitches at the start.

It plays smoothly on my machine (maybe a tad slower than what I remember it, as I remember it was very fast back then).

I can't remember which Fn key it is, but there's one where you can fiddle around with the settings. It's probably listed somewhere in the menu. You can also try accessing the options from Galaxy, under Manage.

Works just fine with a few stutters at times. Initially, it did crash frequently. After a complete uninstall and re-install, it's working fine. The offline installer takes an eternity to download and you are just better off using Galaxy (gets installed in a flash).

I have a nvidia 1660 ti and a vega 8 igp. Works fine on both.

Did you ever think of trying to run a frame-rate limiting program w/ this game?

Maybe use MSI Afterburner, NVidia Inspector or a program like those?

Use one of those programs; set MK4 as the profile; and force the framerate to a maximum FPS cap of say 30fps or 60fps.

Never had an issue with it (Windows 10)

Thanks for your help. I did the said here. MK 4 is running with less problem now. I pass my first opponent. And I finished with the second after losing lol. But it did freeze a few times but not like at first when I could not even get it to play. Now I have another question. I cannot use my PC gaming controller that I just bought. It works with the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection but not with the MK 4... I have a question, are you using only your keyboard for gaming, or you using a pc gaming control. I try using my PC gaming controller and it's not moving only with the keyboard...Anybody having this problem or just me or the MK 4 one is only with keyboard.
It is working now better the game. Now I have a second problem. I recently bought a PC gaming controller to play the Mortal Kombat games on PC but I can't figure out how to map controls to my keyboard or how to get a control pad to work with it on MK 4. The game working fine now. It's just that It's hard to play with the keyboard, I have a gaming Keyboard playing MK games on PC sucks. So I bought a controller for the Mortal Kombat games on PC. I would use the keyboard only with other games like Mario games for example. But yea, the controller works fine with the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection but not with the MK 4. It does not play or move on MK 4 when pressing the buttons with the controller. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

It's working fine with the keyboard and controller. Hit f2 and configure the controller. You may have to use 'Enter' a few times. Windows 10 has a gamepad tester as well. As long as windows detects it, your controller should work in mk4 after your configure it.

You may still need the keyboard to configure. Personally, I prefer the keyboard when it comes to mk4. Couldn't get the hang of the controller.

I was using a bluetooth controller. I might have been using direct input I'm not 100% sure.

It probably supports Dinput controllers only (like most old games, before Xinput existed). If you have a modern Xinput-only controller (like the Xbox 360/One controllers), use the Xinput Plus utility https://0dd14lab.net/bin/xinputplus/

Thanks a lot for the help here. I got it covered already. Finally, I got it to fix and I change the controller settings also from Keyboard I switch it to the PC Gaming controller I had bought. I just passed the first Tower with Quan Chi.
