Vythonaut: Out of curiosity, what problems does ME3 have?
Hrm it's all a matter of opinion. I can't really say it has problems as such, since technically, it's a solid game (I think).

I still find it somewhat amusing that most people mind the ending so much, with or without the Extended Cut. Personally, I was just glad when it was over. But the thing that a lot of people like, compared to 1&2, is the combat and frankly, I prefer ME1 giving me the ability to turn a room full of mercs into blue ragdolls over cover-based shooting.
The abilities at least were more fleshed out than in ME2.
I was also not exactly fond of Liara stalking me.
Then there was that Prothean DLC thing. I begrudgingly accept DLC as a thing at this point but it seems like a dick move to make a character as essential to the ME storyline as a Prothean DLC.
Multi-player adds to your overall "score" which determines how much exactly you'll get your ass kicked in the end.
Overall I found ME3 somewhat enjoyable to watch - it definitely has its beautiful moments - but not enjoyable to play.
I also hate Mortal Kombat X. Don't ask me why, though...

Thanks for the info! I guess i could watch a "let's play" of the entire game, but that would be too stupid as the game takes too long to end (and i couldn't manage to withstand some guy talking constantly making "jokes") so it'll be better to just read the plot on Wikipedia, once i'm finished ME & ME2. :)

Gnostic: Ok you win.

Blizzard is never corrupted by greed and we should give all our money to Blizzard.

It is a myth that Blizzard spike the gameplay to nudge players to the RMAH.

All Hail Blizzard.
avatar
Yrtti: Please stop with these strawmen. All I've stated is that players made more money from the transactions than Blizzard did which is true.

And again and again, the in-game gold AH existed.
No, the player may get more for individual transaction, but overall Blizzard has the most to gain from the RMAH, just like valve has the most to gain from Steam.

It is you that is creating the strawman that Blizzard did RMAH not for greed.

If not for greed, why Blizzard don't make it in-game gold AH only? Why use real money at all?
If not for greed, why Blizzard did a difficulty spike at all? That players have to suffer grinding or pay FTP players suffer?
If not for greed, why Blizzard charge a large amount upfront, and introduce micro transaction?

But hey, don't let me get in your fanaticism and give more money to Blizzard.

Vythonaut: ...
Don't base a decision on my uneducated opinion, though. A lot of people (even ones who raged about the ending) have enjoyed the game. Either way, it seems there are walkthroughs without commentary on youtube.
Ahhhh, so this is where all the Emo's hang out.

Again, that's an absurd comparison. Of course it's obvious that no single player is able to get more money than Blizzard got in total but the whole point is that they get 85% of the transaction they make which makes them earn more money than Blizzard did from THAT TRANSACTION. I've repeated it several times now.

On top of that, if you want to compare total transactions then you're still going to end up with total transactions in favor of players since they made 85% of each transaction.

These are literally strawmen that have NOTHING to do with the argument I made. My argument was, again, that players got 85% of each transaction making them earn more than Blizzard did from the transaction.

Because it's a counter-measure for RWT, did you really miss this? I'm not saying it's the best way to do it but it creates a safe way to practise RWT over giving your CC info and stuff to shady 3rd party sites. Again, D2 had tons of RWT going for it along with countless other games simply because people do not want to grind and would just rather buy directly. So even if RMAH didn't exist people would've bought from 3rd party sites instead.

Again, the design was shit in the beginning but it was balanced later on with RMAH still intact and people spending money on it despite not needing it. No D3 player is FTP player since they purchase the game to begin with.

RMAH can only loosely be defined as microtransactions.

Gnostic: But hey, don't let me get in your fanaticism and give more money to Blizzard.
What fanaticism? Why are you making stuff like that up?
Braid: It's a game made by somebody who thinks he's better then he really is. This attitude shows in every aspect of the game. His tantrum that people didn't "get" the game made it even worse. It's a bad game with bad design choices and a difficulty that is unfair for all the wrong reason. It's basicly a prime example how not to make a puzzle game... The guy who made it blows ( ;) ) as much as Phil Fish but at least he made a good game (FEZ)

Every Call of Duty game except for the first one and the 4th one (modern warfare). Bad level design, terrible story due to it being almost incomprehensible even though they are very simple. You get shot from everywhere but you can't really see the enemies because they blend in into the enviroment. Collectibles that are so difficult to see that I can stand right in front of them and still miss them. Grenade spamming enemies, you die constantly due to stuff you can't see or predict making it a get to the next checkpoint as fast as possible kind of game. And to top it all of they are 4 hours long and they can't even hold your attention for that long... (talking about SP)

I thought ME3 was boring tbh. Didn't mind the ending much, had more fun with the online theories about it but that's another discussion. I loved 1 and 2 but 3 felt so unnecessary. There was no urgency even though the story states otherwise, making the game very boring to play for me. It didn't felt like anything I did mattered what was vastly different from the first two games.

Is that really hard to get?

Previously the goverment does not charge extra tax because the traders already pay yearly tax from their profit.
Then the goverment impose extra 15% GST tax on goods so people have to pay extra.
The traders still get 85%, they get the most so everything is fine.

Why complain about the goverment? The whole point is that they get 85% of the transaction they make which makes them earn more money than Goverment did from THAT TRANSACTION.

We are not allow to critize the goverment because the traders GET THE MOST. NO NO NO, the goverment is infailable.

What! these dirty peasant dare to not give the goverment money by trading in goods instead of money. Lets send in patrols to make it more difficult to trade in goods.

How can you complain about the goverment, if you compare the total trades, 85% of the total trades still go to the people. I repeat it several times, the people still earn more than the goverment since they got 85% of the transaction. How dare you protest.
No No No, you are missing the point, all that matters is the people gain the most out of the GST TAX. The people get 85%. so they get the most out of the tax. How cannot you see this. As long as the people get more than the Goverment out of the transection, all is fine.

How dare you use mathematics to show that the Goverment gain much much more than the individual, your mathematics is wrong. You should comapre of all the people gain versus the single Goverment. You cannot compare a single people against a single Goverment. You must compare all the people gain against a single Goverment. There, all the people gain 85% vs the 15% of the Goverment. THERE IS NO PROBLEM.

How dare you peasant complain, our tax enforcer is there to protect the dumb peasant from giving their CC info and stuff to shady 3rd party sites. It is for your own good. Without our tax enforcer these dumb peasants would trade anyway.Nevermind that they get 100% from their trade instead of 85% now and can buy / sell cheaper.

What! I am a fanatic of the Goverment? Why are you making stuff like that up?

drealmer7: I'm with you, I hate The Witcher too. Bad writing, bad quests, bad characters (including the main), extreme chauvinism that is outright disgusting, super-hyped lameness! I could be more articulate about I suppose, but I've got other things to do!
For me its the characters that make me dislike the Witcher games, especially Geralt.
I really don't like his character and thus don't even enjoy watching playthroughs of these games.

Its one of the potential problems with making pre-set characters, that come equipped with their own personalities.
Some gamers will like them, some will be indifferent, others will end up disliking them.

The only bad thing I found with the game (and I do like it overall) is the inherent childishness of certain aspects. Oh looky, we have come across a female, lets have a blurred light porn screen and collect a card. Very teenage boy dream. I mean where is the CSA, the nagging phone calls, the tears when its out monster slaying rather than going out foe a romantic meal etc. :o).
Note, I have only played 1, though I own the second also. Am waiting for the third to come complete and at a sensible price.

There probably are some things I hate. Games are not among them. Hate for a game would be a too strong verb to use. There are games I like and others that I'm indifferent about.
