I need help deciding between the Beats Solo 3 or JBL Everest 310GA headphones. I'm not sure which ones are best because the reviews are mixed on Beats. Lots of people say Beats are the best around but snarky Audophiles complain that Beats are bass heavy and everything outside of rap music sounds awful. The same goes for the JBL products. Lots of reviews claim they're the best sound they've ever experienced and other reviews claim their junk because they're made by Xiaomi. ughhhh HELP......... I just want good balanced sound with all music.

They're both a waste of money. Get yourself a pair of $60 sennheisers and spend the rest on something other than a status symbol.

I love the sound quality of my Beats but they're not real durable. A lot of people have been having problems with plugs breaking off in devices, and apple service isn't covering it under warranty. Buyer beware.

Everyone makes mistakes. Maybe he didn't notice it having been moved up near the top, but saw the other one and thought the bump for some reason bugged out and didn't work, so he tried again, not noticing that there were two threads?

Beats are just a brand made for hip hop loving idiots who don't know any better. The quality of the headphones themselves suck major balls. I mean, they're truly terrible. Get yourself some Sennheisers instead. Not only can you get headphones of different shape and sizes, but they are consistently good.

As I already suggested in the other thread, as have several others, Sennheiser.

I'm afraid nobody can help you, because hearing is a highly subjective sense. A headphone pair that sounds good to you has a good chance of not sounding good to the guy sitting next to you. Best thing you can do is go to a local shop and try out as many things as you can before deciding on something.

Going for brand-guaranteed quality sometimes works, but in essence you need to come up with some numbers if you want quality headsets - just be careful to spend that money on audio quality, not manufacturer branding (... and I'm mainly thinking of Beats for this last point).

That being said, I'm a Sony man myself for all things audio (here's what I have at the moment).
