If my memory serves right, a few months ago you could see with which OS every game in the GOG-store was compatible with. Today I don't find this info anywhere. Closest thing is the minimum and recommended specs wich often lists all the possible operating systems. But it doesn't everytime.

I remember that I bought S.W.A.T 3, bc I didn't know it wouldn't run on Win10. The support guy refunded me nonetheless, but told me I could check which OS was supported in the shop page. I no longer can find which OS is supported for any game, which makes every buy a risk. Is this info now just under some somewhat hidden tab or something?

It's under the description, not next to it. You have to scroll a bit, but now it's much more readable imho.

Edit: it actually is under goodies which are under description and, depending on a game, there may be a lot of scrolling...

Supported doesn't mean "it works only on", it means "GOG provides technical support and possibly refunds if it doesn't work on them". So if system requirements don't list Windows 10, then GOG don't guarantee it will work on it and regular refund policies don't apply. But at the same time it doesn't mean you won't get lucky when trying to run a game on an unsupported system.

E: Obviously it's possible that GOG missed something and didn't update a game page accordingly. But in general, what's in system requirements is what they give guarantees about.

Thanks. But that's the issue the system requirements aren't the same as the compatibility list was (at least not for every game). Witcher 1 to 3 don't list W10 anymore, where they used to. And other games in my library don't show it anymore as well. Problem is that now it's always gonna be a gamble for older games. Now a game might work on Windows 10 or it might not, when I used to be able to see if gog thinks that a game supported W10. Today I just have to guess and then ask for a refund that takes up to a week to be cleared.

Well it is supported, but neither in the recommended nor minimum requirement, which makes sense since it's not necessary to play the game. But now that we don't have a real compatibility list anymore, we wouldn't be able to tell for sure if we could play the game on Win10, if we didn't already know better.

If you suggest minimum, you don't put XP (wich btw is not supported from what I remember), Vista and 7, you just write the oldest. I think it's just broken.

I've found this treasure of recommended sys req for The Witcher. In OS it says "11" and in processor "szybki" which means "fast".

Check other game, like https://www.gog.com/game/darkest_dungeon - you will see icons of other OS.

That picture is a gem :-) I wonder, are the GOG staff worked to the ground? Those are typical things one might do when dead tired.

They have listed "popular achievements" right after game description, but compatibility information is somewhere down the game page, if it exists at all.

I really can't understand how any human being would prioritise achievements over compatibility information, but that's what they have actually done with these newly designed pages.

I agree, requirements should be higher than achievements or goodies. In fact, I'd reverse their order (it's achievements, goodies, sys reqs). But, once again, I must say that sys reqs are much easier to read now, once you find them of course. ;)
