To my opinion, I think the IOC is a burning pit of money and the Olympics as they currently are formed are an expensive spectacle. Things which the IOC have rejected from appearing have often been rude and arbitrary. (In spite of keeping absolute tat like dressage around.)

Given the then Neo-Olympiad was mostly focused on preparing youthful men for service in armies by teaching them (now worthless) skills, I have to wonder how much neophobic thought happens to still surround it.
