EDIT: It's fixed now!

You say that like GOG gives a shit about the state of their forum.

...I still can't see what was supposed to have changed. Looks the same to me unless you're talking about the menu bar, which is trivial at best.
There was a change? It wasn't very discernible a change, if so.
There was a visible change. It's almost like they have used a font size 12 and then all of a sudden GOG changed it to font 13.The most distracting was the bold-ed text which is huge, and was very pixelated. But today it looks like they also made a change since the bold-ed text seems to have some form of anti-aliasing applied. However the issue with bold text being huge when compared to the rest, remains.

EDIT: Bold italic looks much better.
EDIT 2: I've included a screenshot of how the font looks like on my end.

I have no idea why it's so bold.

Here's my permanent temporary fix ;)
Download and install Lato font. Get Stylus extension for your browser. Create a new style for URLs starting with https://www.gog.com/forum containing this:
/* fix navbar font */
.menu {
font-family: 'Lato';
}

/* set forum font to the one you like */
body,
.text_1 {
font-family: 'Play' !important;
}

/* set font size of some forum elements */
.post_text_c,
.quot_text,
.topic_s,
.pages,
.text_1 {
font-size: 14px !important;
}

I'm not completely sure, but that old one may have been Lato, and the new one is probably Arial.

BTW, thanks to your screenshot I just noticed that Attention, please: Updated forum rules thread is not a sticky anymore and it turns out they've locked it. >.>

I've added screenshots to first post.
Agree, the font is too sharp now and not easy on the eyes.
Never noticed it until now, viewing the OP's screen print and to me it looks a little bit smaller and that's it. Maybe Gog has a reason or someone with really great eye sight said shite, I'm changing this as it's just jumping out at me. Anyhow, it's here now and I doubt Gog will change it back unless there is a massive boycott.

I'm graphic designer so even the smallest change in font is clearly visible to me.

Okay and someone did say it was changed but to my eye it didn't do much until I saw the difference (slight) in your screen print.
If I'm totally honest: I don't get all the fuss over this...for me it's barely recognizable (on the screenshots you provide, I see no real difference), and if anything - the new font "seems" to be more contrasted...which makes for a slightly "sharper" look.

Surely that's not bad!?
