I don't know if I'm the only one but I've noticed that recently, if I have my VPN turned on (I use ProtonVPN), my posts and replies on this forum don't seem to actually submit. The window for posting closes as if it's going to post, and the thread refreshes, but the post never actually shows up.

Is this happening to anyone else? It's rather irritating, to say the least, as I've lost long posts because of this issue (bug?) and it's annoying to have to try to remember to turn it off when I post.

This sometimes happens when your comment is the first one on a new page of the thread you post in (e.g.: you're settings are "50 posts/thread page", and your comment is the 51st, it may happen that your comment shows in the counter, but the new page won't get displayed (at first)). Usually after a reload, or simply waiting a few minutes, it'll show up.

I recently had also a case like you describe (within a page - no new page), but after reloading the page, my comment showed up properly (oh, and I don't use a VPN).

For longer posts, I highly recommend copying into a text editor of your choice, so that it won't be lost, when the GOG forum software screws up again. I had to learn this the hard way.

Hmm that makes a lot of sense, as I noticed the post that I made before this thread did end up appearing. Thanks for the explanation!
