I am a longtime windows Gog user and am trying to load games into my Macbook Pro. I have Ventura 13.4 OS.
Nothing works.
These are the issues:
1. GOG Galaxy downloads but then fails when it tries to start ("Error. Connection to Communication Service was lost and could not be restored! Gog Galaxy will now shutdown). Yes my internet connection is fine (as evidenced by this posting).
2. Almost Every game I try to download for offline play (I've tried Iris and the Giant, Wanderlust, Delores, and Mable) says the version cannot be checked for viruses so it won't install.
3. One game I downloaded will install (Syberia), but it completely freezes when i start it, and the only thing I can do is command-Q
So I am 0/6 so far. Is Mac support just really that bad for Gog? I don't understand. Never had any problems with a PC.
