ill be honest, why the F*** do any of us have to spend time on this??? just to redeem stuff!! i cant use the launcher to redeem it for some stupid reason. also when i go to the site, i have to do it TWICE DESPITE BEING LOGGED IN!! i spent about more than 30 mins just redeeming stuff that SHOULD OF BEEN JUST A SIMPLE CLICK AND DONE!!

is it easy? yea, so long as you dont have to f****** zoom in to the uptenth degree just to figure things out! or you dont have poor eyesight. also if im not mistaken, there been studies proving this kind of stuff just DOESNT WORK ON BOTS!!

i mean HONESTLY, im logged in, im trying to redeem, so JUST WHY!! also if i were to go into further details on this. im have twitch prime, i redeem the codes from there. it says to claim it. to claim it, im automatically redirected to the site. already logged in. so tell me why exactly, DOES IT NOT SAY THAT IM GOING TO BE SUBJECTED TO ANNOYANCES LIKE A F******* USELESS CAPTCHA.

this is more of rant and im curious if anyone else is going through this ****
I so agree. Unfortunately the wishlist entry Nip google Captcha in the bud is over 6 years old, and has only a couple of hundred votes. People just aren't annoyed enough, I guess? And so there's very little reason for gog to improve matters... :/
Agree 100%, this is a change that was made in the last few days. All I can think is they are trying to make it more annoying to claim free game codes off of Amazon Prime to push us to buy the games instead. But it would really just push me more towards Steam or Epic for my cash purchases, which is less annoying to deal with now.

*shrug*
I put up with it. Normally I don't get them, but today the server was inundated and as a result each code redeem attempt which didn't immediately come up with an error triggered a couple. Easily breezed through, but not a measure which caused me any real grief.

A minor inconvenience at most.
I only came across this when logging in and out whilst backing up all my offline installers over a 2 month period. Not seen it before or since i finished all the downloading.
I've yet to see one.
Cloudflare are annoying cause its not working for long time for my smartphones. At first they didn't work in Opera in Mobile mode but did in Desktop (google services was require opposite to access Opera as "secure browser"). Now no mode fix that. I did tried even disabling all privacy options, which is high chance to solve this, but nope. Same did the trick for PC.
gog please use hcaptcha, i don't want to be datamined by (((google))) on any other site
Who are you to dare question Google's global hegemony? Now be a good drone and go select a few more buses or hydrants for us please. The AI isn't going to train itself.

Same. Do people make a regular habit of logging out or changing authentication details?

This was yesterday during GOG's redemption system outage / overload. I think they had the recaptcha system toggled to trigger aggressively in order to lower the number of people pounding the server (or rather to slow them down).

Normally I don't see any.
I see reCAPTCHA occasionally, especially if I very abruptly change my browser fingerprint; i.e. changing operating system, browser, new cache, new cookies, IP address, and such. And yes, they are annoying.

Many CAPTCHA images are seemingly based in America, prompting me to identify things that I've never seen in my life. Sorry that I clicked something that looks like a bus when in fact most Americans are only clicking those yellow school buses, or something or other. Or perhaps my criteria is different from other people, so everyone is identifying the person as part of the motorbike. Who knows, really. I end up just identifying things for 3 minutes correctly, but differently than antipcated, so I just fail instead. These things suck.

The motorcycle ones are the worst. I don't think I've ever had a single success with those.

I only ever got one when I was activating multiple keys in a row. After 5 or so it triggered captcha.

Soon the way to differentiate between humans and bots will be reversed. If you fail or get frustrated and leave, you pass the test.
