according to this post: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/expected_delays_in_support_replies

support is currently overloaded. so it may take a significant amount of time.

And in the mean time you played the game for 50h.

You gotta love those guys.

Best one I have seen so far, played through the whole main story in 24h, wanted refund the same day, rambling at the forum since then.

These refund threads are really getting out of hand here.

But to be fair, you can play a game for hours and encounter something like a game breaking bug only later on.
And because it is possible to get a warez version of the game if someone only wants to play it for free, I would assume that most refund requests are real for real reasons, at least for those who are requesting the refund.

Now whether something like "I can't get a haircut in the game" is enough for a refund, that's another discussion, and depends on whether something like that was promised before the launch or not.

Like glitch that corrupts your savefile? Or only happens in select circumstances...
Thank you, and to be fair, I got 4 game breaking bugs among many others that were not game breaking. I had to restart the game all over once after being 20 hours in the first time. Restart a couple of missions the second time around.

Yes, I am so close to the end but I am so disappointed i'd rather purchase the game when its on sale and i'm not broke. By that time, everything should be fixed.

I hated the profile pages when they launched them and immediately disabled mine. However, I'm enjoying playing "see how long the Cyberpunk players have played before requesting a refund".
My refund requests were processed today for purchases between mid-December to four days ago (all my requests were combined into one, accepting GOG wallet funds).

It took them less than 48 hours to check and close every refund request I've sent two days ago.
I've bought those games before December (except CP2077) and I have a physical edition of Cyberpunk 2077, so I wasn't really expecting them to approve any of those requests.

Looks like they are checking it pretty fast but taking some time before actually refund Cyberpunk (maybe, they are hoping that people will change their mind and cancel those requests).

They rejected my refund because I played the game for too long. Offered to give me GOG Wallet Funds but I said fuck it, no, i'll just go back to Steam where their rules are more clear.

I know that you're not happy with the outcome, and I'm willing to criticise GoG where they deserve it, but to be fair in this case, I can see where they are coming from. You have played the game for 50 hours, and it's not like they refused to give you anything - they offered wallet funds, which you could use to purchase other games from the site.

the terms are not clear enough , i criticized this when they changed it to 30 days for refunds
this refund system is not good at all , clearly it takes way too much work from the support and people doesnt know what are the limits and how it actually works

I do agree with you that the terms aren't clear - I read them before I posted my response to OP and it wasn't clear what (if any) restrictions there were. The problem with automating it - especially if there are limits on playtime allowed - is that without a DRM system tracking how long people are playing for, it would just refund everyone.

The big challenge with the policy is trying to stop abuse of the refunds - especially given with DRM free, you're relying on users to delete downloaded installers.
