Disco Elysium is now available, DRM-free. Buy the game before October 22nd, 5pm UTC and receive free copy of UnderRail.

Disco Elysium is a groundbreaking blend of hardboiled cop show and isometric RPG. Solve a massive, open ended case in a unique urban fantasy setting. Chase down leads, interrogate suspects, or just get lost exploring the gorgeously rendered city of Revachol. What kind of cop you are — is up to you.
I watched youtube video of the game and the game looked interesting. I wishlist the game.
Anyone able to get the install completed yet? Mine has been stuck on 'synching cloud saves' for the last half hour.

Edit:

Nevermind; paused the install, restarted galaxy as the admin. Checked the files and completed the install in a few minutes.... off to try it!

ChrisGamer300: The trailer says you can create your own character. The release date and features one at 1:50.
I did not understood it like that? Literally it says: "Mix and match from wild skills - be a hero, a prophet, a madman, and the greatest detective the world has ever seen". It was never mentioned that you could create character from zero, only that you play as one who is burdened by inner conflicts.
Okay, so I've been playing since release and all I can say is:
I want to have fuck with you.

Awesome game, too bad it's middle of the work week. :(

You don't create your character's looks, however you do choose what skills he has. There is also a "thought cabinet" system in which you can earn "thoughts" in the game which basically are like feats in D&D or perks in fallout.

Both of these supposedly greatly affect the game experience.

kotcore: was in the middle of downloading this with gog com downloader, when it just stopped.
now the gog downloader link is gone :(
I noticed the same. Fortunately I had not started the download yet. There is just no option to use the download links for Disco Elysium,

I made a post about it in the DE forum.
Will people who already have Underrail get a code for it?
I was planning to give it as a gift.

GOG_Solostran: OK, problem with UnderRail should be fixed now, sorry for the confusion.
I just thought I would let you know that the Underrail DLC is listed under the Disco Elysium page. Also, as Kotcore mentioned previously, the gog download tool links are not there. Is this intentional?

I made to forum entries about both issues at the Disco Elysium forum.

Screamshield: Looks great and the free UnderRail makes this a no brainer for me.
It indeed looks good. But unfortunately the game comes without a Linux version.

Sounds very much like then way PS Torment did character creation. And it was very diverse, but at the same time, having a fixed back story and protag.
https://wccftech.com just gave the game 9.5 out of 10.
But under the platform it states: PC/STEAM no mention of GOG.
I've noticed they been doing this quite a bit so just letting you guys know.
Is there a connection between the two games? I see both are from different studios.
What if we already own Underrail? I just watched a few reviews of this and it looks like my kind of game. I might pick it up, but I'm already in deep in another RPG and it will be a while before I even get to this.

I was also wondering that. Google suggests that there isn't, most results that mention both games are from the past 24 hours and about the GOG deal. After excluding GOG from the search results, I only got generic release date lists and game recommendation threads.

Not just them; even some printed mags. And a problem for years. Its quite sad. But taking the positive out of it; it shows one how much value their work has and how much attention they are worth.
