It must be official by now... vikings have clearly replaced the zombies that replaced the vampires a few years back.

As for the game - I really liked Expeditions: Conquistador, so this one's welcome too.
This isn't a bad game at all. The UI could use some work and some things could be made more clear.

I do like the consequences of your actions in this game and the difficulty of choices.
Aw, why no soundtrack?

E:C had a fantastic score to it, and apparently so does E:V. Steam does offer soundtrack for sale, but not GOG?

Come on, guys, I want to give you my money.
I hope it's better than Conquistador. The character system was boring, the fights were braindead and you basically had unlimited ressources after like a third of the game. Not to mention the unbelievably ugly overland graphics. Setting and writing was good though.
Make sure you enable "Norse Names" in the language settings. I've learned what a Housecarl and Althing and whatnot is. These guys did their homework.

Interesting, I'm definitely gonna check this one out. Their last game sounded potentially good and I am a bit of a history buff, but the Spanish colonial era just doesn't really fire me up. I'm good with the Vikings, though. Did I mention I live in Minnesota? It snows in May, half the people I know have Norse names, and many of the liquor stores carry mead so...
I'm excited for this. Loved the first game. Thanks Logic and GoG!

Accatone: Glad to see this game here. I wonder why Logic Artists' previous work, Clandestine is not on GOG yet. That game looks good too.
I've wondered that too

AlienMind: Using this (http://www.babynames.net/all/old-norse?page=7) I chose "Erlend Gullson". Quite a fitting name. Goddess being Logic Artists of course :D

i_ni: IDK, My first choice would be "Aadolf".
That would be pronounced kinda like "oh-dolf" as double A is equal to Å, which is like "oa" in goal.
Concept and gameplay itself are really nice. But the technical aspect spoils it all.

This game looks as if it was is in early beata with it's crashes and bugs. I could not finish the quest because the game locked me outside the camp and i could not enter. Had to load my previous save and lost 2 hrs. Now when I am finially able to start the fight it constantly crashes when there are 2 opponents left. Devs do you take us for idiots? Full payment for unifinished and untested game. Cmon!

Where are the GOG patches??? They have been patching steam pretty regularly this weekend and have beta branch 1.0.2 up
The game is very unstable, client crash a lot when loading and fighting.
I can't believe how bug ridden this fricken game is. Do not buy until patches our out.

gixgox: At last: Vikings without horns. Great.
Horny Vikings? Oh my god!!!
Wishlisted. Will wait until most of the bugs are ironed out.
Patch 1.02 is out... do I have to wait for gog to patch? And does anyone know how long that'll be?
