Snow must go on.

The Beast of Winter, a DLC pack for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Incidentally, this is the perfect opportunity to get into Pillars of Eternity II with discounts up to 25% until August 9th, 5pm UTC.

Travel beyond the edges of the Deadfire Archipelago, to a frozen hell where only the brave and the foolish dare venture. Summoned here by the worshipers of the god Rymrgand, you will battle ungodly beasts and an ancient dragon of world-shattering power with the help of your new companion Vatnir, a priest of the god of entropy and disaster. Will you stand up to the challenge, Watcher?

Together with this release, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire got updated to version 2.0 today, plus it received a free content pack, The Deck of Many Things. It adds a mysterious, treasure-carrying merchant ship that you can trade gold or blows with! Top-shelf booty doesn't come free, you know.

Note: The Beast of Winter is also part of the game's Season Pass.

Boo... not Skyrim / AvP2 / Civ5 - last time I try any deep reading into Blue comments :P
Would be nice if we could get an option to upgrade PoE 1 versions to Definitive edition. Just saying...
Nice. Already on my game shelf, GOG. Well done.
Hm, I haven't beaten the main game yet. I'm guessing I should probably play this after finishing the main game?
I already own the base version of the first PoE. If I buy the White March expansion pass, will that upgrade me to the definitive edition?
Bought it immediately. Sadly after doing that I noticed that the linux version isn't up yet. Hopefully it'll be here soon.

It didn't for me, but my copy was a full kickstarter backer copy equivalent to Royal Edition.

It kind of does. I had the standard edition of PoE along with the season pass prior to the definitive release and was automatically upgraded to the Royal edition which gives the same content. The store still shows I don't own the Definitive Edition, though. I think Steam does show me owning the Definitive despite being in the same situation of only owning the base and the season pass and being upgraded after the release of the Definitive Edition.

Nah, it's mid-tier content, similar to white march in the original.

Oh the good old classy PR hype . :(
Is there ever going to be away to install all available dlc? When I went to install this dlc I realized none of the others had been installed.
no linux version and no explanation?
(there is linux version on another site)
glad i haven't bought 'season pass'...
Rpgwatch has some comments with possible info on future dlcs.
If you plan on holding off until all dlc is released to play the game, you might be waiting until next year.

Here is the comment thread. Pic related is down like two comments.

I can understand that the version for linux is delayed but I think that, at least, we deserve some explanation.
