Dude, I totally missed you.

Paradise Lost, the unhinged expansion pack for the unsavory cult hit POSTAL 2 is finally available DRM-free on GOG.com.

Post(al)-apocalypse has never been so wack! The Dude ventures back into his former hometown looking for his lost dog but instead finds trouble in all shapes, sizes, and heartbeats. The citizens have gone nuclearly insane, gotten themselves zombified, joined freaky factions (sort of the same thing, really), and pretty much given the Dude plenty of reasons to turn them into radioactive pulp as he free-roams this loco land.
Best thing to do is keep reminding GoG they did nothing wrong.

My thoughts on the situation

1) GOG should not have deleted the tweet , there is no point in deleting tweets these days , archive has the old tweets saved and they should have put their response with the original tweet rather than doing a 360 and failing hard.

2) GOG should not have sided with either side , all they had to say was they had put in a random picture from the game and it had turned out to be this and they will be changing it to something else, All they had to say was the nintendo approach aka they are not involved into anything , condone any attacks.

3) This place will be branded as the anti moment support group from now , god knows what else gog will do when threatened ? will they also start pulling games not liked by the twitter mob ?

just reading articles like this https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2018/07/gog-com-apologizes-to-sjws-for-tweet-after-being-threatened-by-game-journalists/64315/ makes you wonder what happened to the good old games which was a proper neutral place to discuss things, now already we have had heavy moderation regarding this including threads deleted and closed...

Heavy moderation? Some guy made the same thread over and over despite being repeatedly told there were already threads with the same topic, and his threads got locked. That's not heavy moderation, that's a user who doesn't listen to gentle direction.

We have had people before create same threads on same news multiple times before, bump age old threads for no reason and yet this time its a problem.
Nice, took long enough , I wasn't going to buy postal 2 on steam just to get an expansion, probly wont buy any more games from this dev after this though since it took them 2 years.

That grovelling apology from gog is one of the most pathetic things I've ever read. Way to go making yourselves look like absolute stooges.

Thats what annoys me a lot they did nothing wrong and yet became the victims .... i always thought of when gog used to post david and Goliath to show its will but now they just folded like a pack of cards... nintendo faced the same situation ,stood its ground and lost nothing sigh... gog is weak...

They apologized and removed the tweet because the image directly connected with GamerGate by phrasing and the date on the tombstone. GOG didn't even realize that when they posted it. No store or business would want to be directly supportive of GamerGate, which is widely accepted (right or wrong) as a hate group. It's pretty simple really, and any business would do the same.

GOG did nothing wrong and shouldn't have needed to delete anything or apologize for anything.

Remember: Never give the SJWs or other authoritarians an inch because they will take a mile.

I stand with GOG. Down with VG247 and other unethical sites employing hack "journalists" engaging in censorship, virtue signaling and thought policing.

Down with censorship! Long live classical liberalism!

They did not just apologize and remove the tweet , they had to go further by calling the other cause a abusive movement , now how did gog come to this conclusion so quickly when one of the PR here posted here that they had no idea about the movement ?

They should have just aplogized and dropped out of the whole thing but nope lets dip in deeper.

Look at how nintendo handled it

this is what the news posted on them

https://www.news.com.au/technology/home-entertainment/gaming/nintendo-employee-alison-rapp-fired-after-gamergate-campaign/news-story/af3a36b7386721666cfbadd29adf490f

and nintendo's response

http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/03/31/nintendo-terminates-fire-emblem-fates-spokesperson

Note how they did it they did not take a stance just dropped out, no one bothers about this firing now , you have to stand up for what you posted rather delete and run off

They were aware of the movement, they just didn't realize the image they posted was connected to the movement.

gixgox: Your quote is wrong,
I never participated in this debate, not in this thread and not in any other, and I'm not going to do it now.
Please try to edit your post #141.
Thank you.

Fun fact: the article you linked does depict GamerGate as "abusive movement". There are plenty other articles, so by a brief googling one can easily establish what GamerGate was about.
