I find this stuff interesting but genuinely feel zero need to do it myself, since everything I'd ever want to play runs on a modern system. I've had one single game not run in the last 15 years and GOG eventually fixed and sold it (Star Wars Shadows of the Empire).

It makes for neat Youtube content though.
Since youtube was brought up, check out the guy named ETA Prime. He handles all the latest retro stuff. Pretty much any small or low tech computers for gaming and retro gaming in general. Plus some oddball setups some people may not have thought up. Like adapters for graphics cards in tiny micro machines that weren't meant for it but works anyway.
