Another British legend dead to cancer, same age as Bowie. Tonight I dine on Die hard and Galaxy Quest in his memory. Harry Potter marathon tomorrow.

Was Bowie not enough? Both at 69 too, that's really not so old, they could have had many more years.
I was seriously stunned when I saw the news. I was on the phone, and I just fell silent, unable to speak for a minute.
He was a phenomenal actor. He had done so much truly wonderful work. Michael Collins, Galaxy Quest, Die Hard, Blow Dry, Rasputin and say what you will, I will always love his Sheriff of Nottingham. Even in luckluster movies, like Love Actually or Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy he was always great.
This. Those movies were sort of amazing for how they wasted all the talent involved.
