So Rogue Trooper REDUX is offically happening YAY!

But so often is the case when a redux happens the original is pulled or vanishes, there are a few exceptions but not many. Rogue Trooper is one of those fantastic games that i feel everyone should play... its in the middle of awesome and just "ok this is nice"...

Its something that i feel captures what GOG is.. and its a damn fine shooter, something GOG desperately needs more of ^_^ so it cant go :P

anyways what are your thoughts?
Does it need a Redux? It still looks sounds and plays amazing.

I hadn't heard of this game, let alone the redux. :P
Will we even get the new one? The site has logos for Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. Given that Rebellion doesn't seem interested in putting their newer games on GOG, I wouldn't be surprised if Rogue Trooper Redux is Steam-only.

It's great. 3rd person shooter with a sci fi twist and some great mechanics, like being able to hide behind something and hold your gun out or over to shoot.

Depends on what the redux adds to the game, But I agree it is a good game.

This, and from the teaser shown so far, the new "improved" visuals actually looks significantly worse, everything is smooth and plasticy.

The fact we don't even have Sniper Elite V2 is pretty damning.

A SweetFX'ed version? What we need is a sequel.

But' it's not a new game. It's a Redux for an older one. You know, like Battlezone.

Anyway, if/when it comes here, I expect it to replace the older entry and add the older game as an extra.
Ohh, is someone else doing a Beamdog?

Beamdog: Noun. To take something already complete and final, add a mod and sell for big chunks of cash.

That's what I thought.

My favourite mechanic in this game is the huge machine gun you carry can be deployed as a turret and then you can use a simple pistol instead that is not as powerful but at least it doesn't need ammo.
The comics its based off of are really good as well. Sort of a Vietnam war commentary using scifi to allow them to explore themes that likely would have been censored otherwise.
Fantastic game. Luckily I had read a very positive review of it and bought it just weeks or maybe a few months after release (luckily it - or at least the PC version - was apparently released as a budget title). Incidentally I played it roughly at the same time as Gears of War and oh brother, as much as I was disappointed by GoW I was blown away by Rogue Trooper.

Can't say that I care much for a Redux version but the sole fact that they are doing something with this franchise again is great, hope that there may be a sequel. And hopefully they won't screw it up. Sadly Rebellion's track record is far more miss than hit.
