Nya83: a system report to get a refund? are these people for real?
why?

The policy states that they be allowed to fix the problem before issuing a refund.

Sounds fair to me.
Yes.
The games are DRM free, you can only get a refund for a downloaded game by proving you have tried to get it to work and can't.
GOG have no way of stopping you from using a downloaded installer after refunding you, so they have to be more rigorous with refunds to prevent abuse.
Or simply don't download the game... real easy to get a refund then.

Thank you.

This is not Steam. If you buy a game here you can download the installer and nobody can take it from you. That's what DRM-free means. But it also means more responsibility on your part.

So if a game doesn't work although it should (see requirements), work with support and if they can't fix it - you'll get your refund.

While I understand you're new here, I would suggest you don't call things 'shady' purely down to not understanding the process.

The support team are there to help, don't treat them in a disrespectful manner or assume the worst of them, they're simply people doing their jobs to help you :)

i was just confused as to what the system report actually was. I wasn't in communication with anyone. Are there no individual game discussions? I've been able to solve half my problems with the game and it would be nice to know if others are having the same problems or do we just deal with support privately?

There are game-specific subforums there :

...but they are seldom very active.
