Sulibor: It looks interesting and as a fan of the first part I am checking the development from time to time.
It will feature dynamic change of the map, as planet orbiting will be simulated, additional resource that will limit Capital Ships and more elaborate research tree (for example you will be able to research and upgrade additional turrets or hangars and capital ships models look will reflect those changes). For now though it looks barebone, as it has only one faction and many features present in Rebellion are not implemented.
Sadly, it is Epic Exclusive in Development Title and taking into consideration the negligence of GoG platform by the publisher in the past (years of delay in release of Minor Factions DLC), I am rather skeptical we will see it here on day one when it is released.

Especially if they manage to 'branch' out there idea of a 'living universe'... and make engagements somewhat more compelling then looking at seemingly solid bricks taking punches at each other in a sort of lightshow that manages to spike the processing part of the brains to untold heights. I might have a look at the discord.. Though in all sincerity… i would be very much afraid to ask questions about ... the state of a living universe etc etc
WinterSnowfall: I'm a big fan of the first game, but I'm highly skeptical of how the second one will be marketed, since Stardock is publishing it. Are they going to make this game an absolute DLC fest as well and milk the fun out of it?
And yes, as Sulibor mentioned, the original game was neglected for many years on GOG, with an inexplicably missing DLC. I emailed Stardock (repeatedly) about it, without any effect, until I managed to find a way to email IronClad Games PR directly, which I guess managed to get the message across.
I think it's safe to assume that GOG is an afterthought at best, not a priority for them.
Galciv 3 was not actually very bad... i mean, especially on lower difficulty settings the game had quite the pleasing appeal. The whole focus multiplayer though.. and of course you can call it DLC fest but multi demands quite a lot in such a crowd. Did ruin the whole, especially in single player... Luckily for that part we have DW 2 still available on the page.
