I've enjoyed a lot both Borderlands 1 & 2 in co-op, would be nice to have remastered versions here. I'd buy them and play them again.
Some major changes comparing to original for Borderlands 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtYo2oyEagk

DoomSooth: I'd love to have the first two here. The third will be complete crap. Can't tell you why without offending a lot of people. :)
I assume that doesn't have anything to do with the Epic Game Store exclusivity rumor?
Personally, I've always found Borderlands to be a waste of perfectly good graphical style and world setting. I've tried to play the first one twice, but it gets boring so fast. The Telltale game is in my opinion far superior to the original game.

Exactly my thoughts, I can't get it what the hype about those games are. It's boring as hell, there is next to no character progression, story is cliche as hell. I played first one for maybe 6-7 hours thinking it might get better but further down it only gets even more boring. I can't see next game in the universe to be any different.
I enjoyed Borderlands 2. Can't really say that i'm hyped for 3 though - the games are decent but no relevation imho
Isn't Borderlands where terms such as "Bullet Sponge" and other such negative terms were coined?

And other such negative things such as the insufferably cheeky/self-aware writing that tries to appear far more clever than it is? (Just because you joke about a bad game mechanic, doesn't fix the bad game mechanic.)

Whoever thought Claptrap was/is funny needs to be smacked hard. What an extremely annoying fucknugget.

I hadn't heard anything about it being exclusive to Epic's store. That's not it. :)
Big fan of the first one only for some reason, was never a fan of the roster of the newer games besides the robot coat guy in the third one

Pheace: Rumors it may be Epic exclusive so coming out end of next year is probably a more conservative estimate
And nothing of value was lost.

Borderlands started out great and practically invented the hybridization of FPS with ARPG-style random tiered loot. The original Borderlands was my favorite and remains my favorite even to this day. Nothing else in the franchise even comes close.

Turns out Gearbox got giddy, greedy, and arrogant on their success. I don't know why Borderlands 2 gets "Overwhelmingly Positve" reviews on Steam, compared with "Very Positive" on the original. The 2nd Borderlands added boatloads of money-grubbing DLC schemes, much worse combat balance designed on getting you to spend on Golden Keys to open the premium chest (lootbox), and nerfed drop rates for really good items to coerce you into paying for lootboxes. Borderlands 2 also added a lot of bad language and inappropriate/lewd references that were practically absent in the original. The ammo system was also nerfed, with ammo costs in Borderlands 2 scaling with level and only 1 class in the base game being able to regenerate ammo (vs. the original where every character could regenerate at least 1 type of ammo, and there was a line of legendary weapons with regenerating ammo). Restricting ammo regeneration fundamentally turns large battles into fights of attrition where you have to count every bullet because it will cost a lot to replenish and missing too much will cost you the fight.

I've never played (or even bothered with) the Pre-Sequel, especially after reading the reviews. Common complaints are that it's too short. Also I heard reports that they added some characters with specific controversial "background traits" to appease the social justice crowd (won't elaborate here for the same reason as post #2 from DoomSooth).

Oh, and it turns out Gearbox's CEO got caught in a discrimination scandal involving anti-Christian slurs: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/01/gearbox-ceo-allegedly-mocked-ex-lawyers-christianity-with-slurs-ridiculing-gifts/

Also: given that Gearbox has largely spent the last 5-6 years going down the crapper with the rest of the big-budget devs in a race to the bottom, I can safely predict that the third Borderlands will be a disaster right out of the gate. Lootboxes, money-grubbing DLC schemes, social justice pandering, nonsensical storyline, the crudest lewdest excuse for "humor" ever, ridiculous/poorly balanced game mechanics - no interest whatsoever.
The first game releasing here with the remaster edition would be neat, don't really care about the other entries, but sure why not.
Borderlands 1 I did 1 playthrough with all DLCs, but got really tired by the end of the incredibly bulletspongy enemies (maybe my gear wasn't up to level? dunno). Straight up gave up on the Armory of General Knoxx post-story arena battle quest since it was full of badasses that needed like 20-30 headshots from my best sniper rifle to take down.

I'm playing Borderlands 2 for the first time right now, and at level 20 so far I don't feel the ammo costs at all. Maybe that'll change at higher levels, but I'm not really planning on doing NG+ so.... I did spend 3 of my ~180 golden keys (obtained via shift codes) and been using the slots a lot. Dr Mercy dropped a (legendary? unique? not sure) automatic pistol with infinite ammo for me, though it's a level 9 so the damage is rather bad by this point. But it's something to fall back on if I somehow run out of all ammo during a boss battle I guess.

Mostly I really like the NPCs.

Crisco1492: So, Borderlands 3 is coming out... perhaps by the end of the year, if their Twitter slip-up was legit. What do you think the chances of the first two coming here are? We do, after all, have Gearbox and 2K games here already. Would they be willing to let us have their DLC-fests?
I'm sure whatever the delay at this point is related to the backend of allowing coop in both games on GoG Galaxy.
Borderlands 3 confirmed to be a timed Epic exclusive:
