Looks like a reveal to me, not a shadow drop, but still hard to believe they actually gave in and remastered it.

Booo... I WANT The Elder Scrolls VI! Not some remaster. Then again, the great reveal might just be Skyblivion.

Or maybe they are trolling and the actual reveal would be the Elder Scrolls VI! With I and V switching places.

Oblivion was the weakest of all the Elder Scrolls games...the main quest was:

Enter oblivion gate 1
Find the object to complete the quest
Enter oblivion gate 2 (same layout)
Find the object to complete the quest (same place)
Enter oblivion gate 3 (same layout)
Find the object to complete the quest (same place, you get the idea...

The radiant AI was apparently a big deal but it wasn't enough to compensate for the fact that the main quest was boring as hell.

So is the remake going to redo the main quest? Or is it just a hype train scam to get fanboys to buy the game yet again?

The timing of this makes no sense, with Skyblivion almost out.

We all know many game companies can't count to 3, so: HL 4 confirmed?!

hl 3 should calculate how much of peoples lifes were wasted.. they barely held promise with their episodic projects.

Now confirmed by Bethesda, will the speculation of it being a whopping 120 GB in size be accurate? As some posters note, we want word of The Elder Scrolls VI Hammerfell (non-Woke edition) but this is a step in the right direction. Either way, we're seeing Skyrim being pushed out of the spotlight.

Unless Bethesda is worried that Skyblivion will steal some of the market share that Oblivion Remastered would otherwise gobble up. It wouldn't surprise me if the thinking is to beat Skyblivion to release in order to get as many sales as possible from people who otherwise might download Skyblivion if it were released first.

Now personally, I don't think there would really be that much overlap between players who will buy the Remaster and players who would rather have Skyblivion, but I'm also not a corporate stooge who panics at the thought of possibly losing a few sales because of a fan-built project. :)

Still watching the reveal, but honestly this sound too good to be true. And like I predicted no GOG release, obviously Steam release, but no GOG... At least not yet. :D
