I just stumbled onto this on Archive.org. It's surprisingly good.

https://archive.org/details/STALKER-bonus-cd
Is the bonus disc that came with the radiation edition in EU, I popped it in to check it and realized I have never watched it despite having played the game like 10 times.
Looks very well done.

The music is really good, but some of it is not in the game. Did the EU version have some different music tracks?
Yeah, a ton of games had major goodies with their special physical editions back then. I recently discovered the huge 170 page artbook for Heroes V for example which only came with the Complete Edition. Funnily enough, the GOG thread I made about it is now the top hit on Google when searching "Heroes V art book" :P

Really wish I hadn't missed most of this era of physical goodies, but I was still too young to make my own purchases in the mid 2000s :(

It makes me wonder if much more stuff like this for other games is floating around the Internet. It would be nice to have some special edition items from games even if it is only digital.

P.S. You're number two now! :)

It's nice to see that the little guys can aspire to top searches. I had the feeling that it was kind of fixed in favor of certain people.
I should check my basement if I still have this. I sadly threw away a lot of stuff I replaced with online versions, but I am quite sure that the Stalker Metal Box is sill somewhere.

Threw away? Not even sold? Some people would kill for a chance to get their hands on stuff like this, even 2nd hand :O

It's actually "Heroes 5 art book" that gives me the top result (at least for me). With the V, I'm not even on the list. Funny how that works, especially when I used "V" in the thread title :D

Never have a girlfriend whom you want to start a new life with when you are about to move ...

It was somewhat near 180 computer game boxes, including the last Amiga boxes. Still makes me wanna cry when I think of it.

I kept some of the more impressive ones, but even a few of the big ones like Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 and Space Bunnies must die had to go, the Half Life 2 Big Fat Black Box was damaged anyway, already was when I got it.

But I kept stuff like the Ankh pyramid, the Star Trek Elite Force Borg cube, the Jedi Outcast metal box collection (DF,JK,MotS,JO + lightsaber keychain), some of my imported US boxes.
I am not really sad about the standard EU boxes of my Star Wars or LEGO games ... except Dark Forces and Jedi Knight maybe. I certainly hope I still have the Manhunt box, I have the CDs at least, but I dare not to go down and check. There was some good stuff.

About half a year ago I payed 120€ for a Turrican 2 PC box (including the game of course), prior to that I had T2 on a 50 games collection and on a cover CD from a game magazine, which I managed to lose both while moving.

I have around 250 game boxes (normal boxes though, not Big Boxes) + a lot of others in just paper sleeves or just discs.

Bought a couple of old big boxes too a couple years ago. Namely Drakan (about 70 Euro in some random Portuguese E-shop I stumbled upon by chance) and Return to Castle Wolfenstein Collector's Tin on Amazon for about 80 USD.

Then also some others like Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, BloodRayne 1 & 2 or Star Wars: Republic Commando.

Recently been thinking about getting the Collector's Edition of Command Conquer 3 :P

The game's music should be the same across the world AFAIK, at least comparing my editions with the YT videos it looks like it.

By the way I should be at 150 boxed games most of them big box US releases, 95% FPS, at some point the sadness came with those amaray releases, plastic and just a sheet of paper with some random info on it. Then ste Steam catastrophe...

Drakan is gone as well, so are Quake and Wing Commander 3+4. *sniff*. I don't think I ever had the wolfenstein box.
Indy ... probably a goner. Maybe I still have the german version in it's original form, it came in a DVD hull + cover.

I try not to buy old boxes which I disposed of earlier, instead I got the Turrican Ultimate Collector's Edition some time ago. Also a nice (small!!!!) highlight: Tales of Monkey Island CE and Jurassic Park CE. The latter comes as a "standard" parcel box with some advertisement material for the park inside and a invitation to visit it. That's pure genius if you ask me.

Yeah, one of the cool things about old boxed games is the paperwork, not only manuals, but booklets with hints, tech troubleshooting, leaflets with hints hotline numbers, BBS, ADs, promotional material and special editions or collector's came with special items in addition to those.

Looking back I'm happy to have bought many collector's editions which now I can enjoy the contents of but back then wasn't always possible or didn't feel that right to drop all that money on them to get just a nicer box and a few items.

Nowadays is so sad and infuriating at times to see all that nice stuff turned into digital files.
