That and a TON of mods that are total garbage and that robin scott takes fan made cheats and modifies them without the fan knowing and the fact that People steal other peoples work and post it there AS THEIR OWN!

Remember fallout 3 I made a little mod years ago (was going to be a bigger mod until I got unfairly kicked off nexus)
it was called Moira Master Repairist (was on "planet fallout") was gonna be renamed and modular as I was working on it to add 100 repair to tenpennies merchants too but OH no a year after I was kicked off along came this damn kid posting my mod ON NEXUS where I did NOT want it put, and took ALL the credit, that is WHY I have Beef with NexusMods

Oh and It's not "Panties in a twist" it's "KNICKERS IN A KNOT, TerriblePurpose.

Sounds like a rough encounter.

I mostly limited myself to making tools. NIF Texture Stripper being one of the best tools i ever made. (and it was a hack)

Cool, I've personally used that!

coyote1726: If I buy a game on GOG, can I assume that I can't access any mods for that game which may be on Steam? If so, that's too bad because I would like to give GOG my business.
Get a free steam account. Buy your game on GOG and save a copy somewhere. Add that game to your steam library. Use the steam work shop?

Nope, doesn't work. As i mentioned for Dungeons of Dredmore, the HB version was able to accept mods but didn't have access to the workshop. So i had to download the entire game on Steam to get the mods, then extract and save those which works on the HB version i preferred.

Almost be better if you know someone with the same game, have them download your mods and then pack them into a single download in dropbox or something.

As has been mentioned, you can use a free website from doing a search for 'steam workshop downloader'.

Not all those sites work all the time for all the mods on SteamWorkshop, but with a little copy/pasting of the Steamworkshop mod URL you can get the mods you can't find on the Nexus or places like MODdb etc.

For example, i used this site recently:

https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/

to get a bunch of mods for X:Rebirth from Steamworkshop that were not on the Nexus site (like the Captial Ships Bridge mod etc).

SteamWorkshop, like Steam itself is mostly about Valve controlling PC gaming and i wish more mod makers would realise this and not use the Workshop, or at the very least always provide a mirror to the Nexus for a platform agnostic version etc.
