Many years ago Raptisoft developed game Eggsucker (predecessor of Dynomite Deluxe).

I have full, registered version, however I've got some issues with this game (playing on Windows 8.1 64 bit). When playing on full screen mode, game is veeery choppy. I've tried windowed mode instead, and it was working quite fine... but by some reason after a couple of minutes of gameplay it's becoming extremely choppy and it's impossible to play.

I've tried compatibility mode (didn't gave any difference), also tried dgvoodoo, but then game doesn't launch at all (there is only generic windows message "eggsucker has stopped working" and it's closing.

I would be very grateful for any hint, how to solve this issue.

In fact, for providing me successfull solution (just please, no virtual machine, I would like to launch it on the system I'm using), I would be happy to reward with gift of one of those positions (some of them include more than one game):

1.Star Wars Episode I: Racer
2.Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death
3.Age of Wonders 1+2 + Shadow of Magic
4.Risen
5.Serious Sam: First Encounter + Second Encounter
6.Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete
7.Heroes of Might and Magic 4: Complete
8.Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate + WH40k: Rites of War + WH40k Epic: Final Liberation
9.Fantasy Wars + Elven Legacy Collection
10.Deus Ex: GOTY edition + Deus Ex 2: Invisible War

Thanks in advance for help!

If someone wishes to try this game on his/her own/computer, here is the link to the shareware version which I've found;
https://www.computerworld.pl/ftp/pobierz/gry/1120.html

(you need to click on "pobierz program")

Shareware game allows for 2 minutes of gameplay in each mode (after that time, you can of course start again. If I'm correct, this may be the version, which wasn't patched (it had a bug which allowed to "register" the game with four-letter code.

You know, I heard some time ago story about guy who has given the hidden message by writing a couple of lines in a row and big letters were into something... Don't remember exactly how this story ended :)

This game probably runs on DirectDraw, and from my experience most or all ddraw games run like crap under
Windows 10. To run them well I'd recommend you to use some ddraw wrapper.

You can download cnc-ddraw.
You can read the instructions and download the file 'cnc-ddraw.zip'.
Extract the file content to your game directory, disable compatibility modes and run the game.
* There is a ddraw.ini file that you can edit and change many options: resolution, aspect ratio, color depth, etc.

Hope it works for you!

Thanks for the game its pretty good, till it slows down.

So far I've tried killing explorer, nglide and dxwnd and none of the make any difference. Dxwnd and NGlide, just give a white screen then an error about unable to set video mode. I'll keep playing with it though.

That works kinda. It goes full screen for me now but the graphics go all flickery, and are broken.

Thanks RoboPond and Kobi-K for checking.

I've tried that cnc-ddraw, but unfortunately I've got the same issue as RoboPond described - graphics and animation are completely "messed" in fullscreen mode. And in windowed mode it simply hangs and stops working.
OK, I got that demo to run well with DXWnd,
First run DXWnd as admin, then create a profile for the game, I selected 640x480 centered window (Main tab) and in
Video tab I selected 16BPP in the 'Initial virtual color setting.
You can mess around with other options and see what works for you, but I think that you only need to run it as admin
for it to run well.

Wow, that was unexpected - I've tried initially in dxwnd (before I've read your post), but it didn't allow me to play in split-screen multiplayer (closed app with error). And it was generally weird, because when I've tried to launch it from the dxwnd, it froze, but when I've opened the game directly (with dxwnd turned on), it launched.

When I've used settings you've mentioned (16 bit), it allowed me to play in all modes properly! I still has to launch it "directly" (after launching dxwnd), because when I'm doing it from dxwnd window, it froze... Weird, but most importantly, it works.

Thanks a lot for help, please let me know, which one of those games (from first post) I can gift to you for help :)

Glad you worked it out. Are these GOG codes? If so, I wouldn't mind getting Risen. Thank You!

Yes, they're all GOG codes.

Thanks a lot for help, I've just sent on PM code with Risen :)

Thank you very much!

BTW, I noticed that DXWnd doesn't run well or at all with games that have compatibility mode enabled. If you have it enabled, then I'd recommend you to disable it. It might run better with DXWnd.
