Developer of the game Telepath Tactics (present on GOG) has released some time ago a new, improved version, named Telepath Tactics: Liberated. What is more, owners of original game received it for free!

Unfortunately, it happens so far only on Steam. Developer has contacted multiple times GOG, but never received any reply regarding releasing their game on GOG:

This cannot be! To arms, Men and Women! Storm the GOG castle and change this situation!

(i have personally submitted ticket to GOG regarding this game, I know, this may not be something super-influencial, but I'm doing what I can)
GOG is so spectacularly bad at this sort of thing. Having said that, if this is a new version of a game they already have on GOG can't they just update it?

I think the issue is that Telepath Tactics cost $14.99 (Steam) while Telepath Tactics Liberated costs $24.99 (Steam.) I don't own either on any storefront and could be entirely wrong on this, but it looks like it is the same game just different graphics plus some other additions. Why they still sell the original? I don't know.

If they really want people who bought the original to get the improved game free, they could just update things to the improved version at the higher price.
This sounds like a similar situation to AQUA KITTY UDX, which is given for free on Steam for those who own Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender.

On GOG, on the other hand, the developer no longer seems interested in doing anything after its previous game was rejected.

As far as I remember, plenty of GOG users were generally not too keen on removing old version of the games and replacing them by new only. So I guess this part actually wouldn't be anything "bad". Plus, it's the developer's decision, which doesn't hurt anybody.

Saying from my experience - I think I had a lot of luck, because I didn't encounter on any "game breaking" bug in the original game (which is extremely entertaining by the way). Still, I"m curious about new version, since it has some extra stuff, like campaign editor. And I really wish to have it here as well.

GOG openly states in their official policy that they will not contact back all of the devs who contact them first. The link to that page, which is on the GOG website, was posted on this board a few weeks ago.

So "developer having no reply" is to be expected, a lot, with many different devs. It's not "news" when that happens (or should that be, when it doesn't happen?), it's just the normal course of how GOG does things.

Weird, what strange policy is that? To show GOG users that they cannot expect updates as fast as somewhere else? There've been serious delays with some games here, but I really see no reason why. It cannot be lack of workforce, because their censorship team on the forums works fast and even goes the extra mile to break their own rules by being overzealous with that censorshop. Maybe instead of abusing freedom of expression they should move those people to deal with tickets and dev correspondence?

They could do like Neverwinter Nights. If you purchase Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition, you also get Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition included with your purchase. Diamond edition is the non-enhanced version of the game with the last official patch (1.69) already included. You just cannot purchase Diamond edition on its own anymore.
Hey all! I have good news for you. As of a few minutes ago, Telepath Tactics Liberated is available on GOG. You can find it here: https://www.gog.com/en/game/telepath_tactics_liberated
