Hi, I'm BenKii. And this is The Community Giveaway. A tradition that began with IAmSinistar back in 2015 and followed by moonshineshadow, zeogold, finkleroy, Lone_Scout, and now me, BenKii, the 6th host of the best longest running giveaway on the Gog forums. I want to give a huge thanks to all the previous hosts and to all the donators to this giveaway. You all make this community a better place. :)

Previous editions can be found here:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/a_community_giveaway

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_community_giveaway_gog_edition_redux
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_gogmmunity_monthly_giveaway

Please set your chat settings to public so that you can send any donations to me or receive any donations from the Community Giveaway. Only GOG keys will be accepted in this thread.

If you want to discuss the rules or other circumstances related to this thread, please do it in the following thread:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_community_giveaway_tradition_discussion_and_poll

In an effort to not clutter the thread, I won't be saying "you're welcome" every time I'm thanked. So instead, I'll say it now to every fellow Goglodyte that has thanked me in the past, today, and into the future. You're welcome! :)

So, how does this thing work?
The short version:
*This giveaway is open to active members of the GOG community, you can ask for a single key from the list in the 2nd post.
* Keys are on a first come, first served basis. The first eligible member to ask for a game from the list will get the key. Ineligible members will be told to be more active in the forum before participating in the giveaway.
* You can only get one gift per month. The new month will begin on the 1st of the month after I make a post stating we are in the new month. Please check the 4th post in this thread titled "Important Announcements" to see when the new month has started.

The complete rules are listed below. Please read them to get the full idea.

*****RULES*****
PLEASE READ THESE BEFORE ASKING FOR ANYTHING.

#1. If you donate a key to this giveaway, you're leaving who gets it fully up to my discretion and the rules of this giveaway. If you'd like to pick and choose who gets what yourself, you'll have to open up a giveaway of your own.

#2. Only reputable members are accepted. By "reputable", I mean having an active and positive presence in the community. Who I deem reputable is at my discretion. As a general guideline, you must have a non-recent registration and have been actively participating in the community recently and for at least a month or so. Activity that consists mostly of giveaway entries or low effort posts like short posts on some of the forum games doesn't meet the eligibility requirements. I will be the judge on whether you are reputable enough or not. Once you are eligible, you do not stay eligible for life. I will check your recent activity every time you ask for a game to see if you are still eligible.

#3. You will be perma-banned from this giveaway if:
- you are rude
- you are on the Known Scammers list or have otherwise been shown to be an alt account/impersonator/troll
- you knowingly give empty/false/unusable codes
All blacklistings are at my discretion.

#4. Keys are first-come, first-served.

#5. Ask in the thread. No requesting via PM unless you've already requested in the thread and I somehow missed it. You can only request one key per post (even when asking for daggered keys) and requesting several gifts in order of preference is not allowed.

#6. The limit is one game per month. Exceptions are made for games in the daggered keys section, which indicates that they were given away en masse for free sometime in the past. The giveaway goes by calendar month. On the first of every month, I will make a post stating when the new month has begun and then prior giftees can ask for another game. In case you miss the post stating when the new month has begun, you can check the 4th post in this thread titled "Important Announcement" to see if we are in the new month.

#7. Please refrain from editing a post that includes a request. Please carefully consider what you want to request before you request it. If you need to change your request, please wait until at least 10 minutes after you made your original request and post a new message. If you post before 10 minutes have passed, the forum will automatically merge the two posts, which will result in an edited post. All posts that include a request or nomination will automatically be declined if they have been edited for any reason, even if it's because the GOG forum merged two of your posts.

#8. You are only allowed to request keys for yourself. Every granted key must be redeemed by the account that requested it. If you would like to request a key for a friend or family member, they need to meet the eligibility requirements and you need to nominate them for it. If a donor notices that a key they donated was redeemed by a different account than the one that requested it, please let me know about it via PM. We'll all have to have a chat about what happened, and I'll take it on a case by case basis. If there are repeated issues with the same user breaking this rule, it will lead to them being banned from the giveaway.

#9. If a game's DLC is listed alongside the base game, you're free to request just the DLC. The only way it would be required to be a packaged deal is if it's requested by the donor. When this happens, I will make a note of it on the list. This is true of all keys, including the daggered keys that include tons of games. If you'd only like one or two games, that's fine.

#10. Some games are on a multi-game code. If given such a code, only redeem the game(s) you were granted. IF YOU VIOLATE THIS RULE, YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE GIVEAWAY.

#11. Nominating other members is allowed and encouraged. The nomination will only be accepted if the nominee falls within the terms of this giveaway. If a key is granted to a nominee, it will count toward their monthly limit. The nominee has a week to claim the game before it is up for grabs for everyone else again. If somebody has been nominated for a game, the game will be removed from the list until either redeemed or a week has passed. If you do not wish to receive nominations, either leave a request in the thread or PM me and you'll be added to the "No Nominations For Me Now" list. If you wish to be removed from this list, let me know in the same manner.
You are allowed to make one nomination per day. If you make a nomination, please wait 24 hours before you nominate again. This is to prevent one person from solely controlling who gets what game. Only active members of the GOG community may nominate.

#12. If you wish to make a donation, please send me a chat message containing the keys. You will receive full credit for your donation and yourname will be added to the list of donors. You may, however, request to be anonymous, and I will honor this request.
I will NEVER ask for keys to be re-sent. If you get a message asking for such, ignore it, as you're likely getting scammed.

#13. Donors are welcome to check if a key has been redeemed by the user who requested it. If a key has not been redeemed, and it has been at least 72 hours since the key was granted, the donor is welcome to contact me. Upon being notified by the donor, I will notify the giftee that they must redeem the key within one week from that moment. If they fail to do so, the key will be returned to the giveaway.

#14. No code-dropping of any sort. Please. I know you mean well, but I'd rather you donate to this giveaway. If you want to simply drop the code, there are threads for that purpose.

Am I too late for FLAKE The Legend of Snowblind? If not, I'd like to request this one.

That said, whoever got some Amazon keys, enjoy!
Can you really ask for past giveaways? I'd think these are expired, no?

May I be so bold to also request one of the

I think they have longer expiration periods. Some people requested Sunblaze recently so I assume they still work. Remember that you can request one per post

Yes, that's what caused the confusion. And yes about the one per post limit, I rediscovered that just before, plus the "no edits" rule, which prompted the second post in the first place. I'd hate to have things go to waste, but I also don't want to clutter this up with additional not-so-important requests. Well, the deadlines aren't here yet.

A shame that nobody is interested in "Dark Eye, chains of Satinav". It's not got the obnoxious Daedalic-style gfx, and it also doesn't require knowledge of the respective lore. Would be sad to have that go to waste, but I already have it here.

If they're on the list, they're usually not expired. It may happen, in case GOG decides to add an expiration date to keys that had none originally or if BenKii forgets that the expiration is coming up, but it's rare. So feel free to request what you missed.

Making multiple posts with requests isn't clutter, it's exactly how it's meant to be done. :)

Well, it was just given away, so once the people who wanted the game but didn't want to claim it so they won't be automatically subscribed to stuff, however momentarily, asked for keys, the demand pretty much went out.

(ø,ø): Wow, he's really put one over on you.

If you want to see who he really is, when he's not trying to manipulate people into giving him stuff, you should have a look at his Steam post history.
You can find the profile in the attached screenshot, he posted it himself on his GOG profile page.
Just attach posthistory at the end of the url.

He's a "gamer bro", and a pretty toxic one at that.

If you look past the hate speech and toxicity, and the "bro" this and "bro" that, you'll also notice that he doesn't use the phrase "my friend" even once in the Steam forum, while here in the GOG forum he uses it in pretty much every post.

This whole "my friend" persona is fake. It's just an act he puts on so he can more easily exploit the good people of the GOG community.

When a person like this calls you "my friend" repeatedly it's pure manipulation. They're trying to instill a sense of familiarity between you, so you'll lower your guard and they can take advantage of you.

By the way, you'll need to log in to be able to look at the post history. If anyone doesn't have an account, or doesn't want to log in there, you can just have a look at a couple of his greatest hits from their forum:

Facepalm #1
Facepalm #2

Quite the contrast to the person he tries very hard to portray himself as here in the GOG forum, isn't it?

It's disturbing really, to see how someone can put on two completely different personalities from one forum to another.

If anyone wants to share their own thoughts about all of this, feel free to continue the discussion over here:

Just link to this post for reference.
My 2 Cents

Backup Evidence: You should have quickly backed up his GOG profile page on a public service while the Steam profile was still available. That's all your evidence is based on, and unfortunately, it's no longer there. Plus, your screenshot could easily be forged.

Private Communication: You should have shared all this evidence privately with BenKii instead of making it public. Whether guilty or not, Se7en_Bullets deserves the same respect as anyone else. Frankly, this situation is embarrassing for both him and you. It makes you look like a stalker digging through his internet history or someone with a vendetta against Se7en_Bullets, both of which are not unreasonable assumptions from my perspective.

Damn, you could have acted like an adult and approached Se7en_Bullets directly in private to ask for his side of the story regarding the controversial topics you highlighted before anything else. Or how do you think BenKii mediates such situations?
Insults and divisive opinions aren't crimes on their own, nor do they represent the complete picture of a person as you seem to suggest. Instead, here you are, turning this into some cheap public controversy because you chose to do so. Is shaming Se7en_Bullets part of your strategy? Under what moral grounds, mister?

All you've accomplished with me is making me wary about sitting next to you. Honestly, I feel like I need to be careful about what I say and how I say it, lest I trigger your inner detective. Not to mention, I have to measure—using your ruler—what games I get donated, as I could easily become your next target. These worries stem not from a desire to be a positive member of this community but from a fear of your personal judgment. Why the fuck not?

Excuse me, I shared posthistory evidence (actual links not screenshots) with BenKii back in mid December as I was sure Utopian/Se7en broke rule #3. BenKii was not happy with the usage of slurs and he saw the gog page with steam profile link, his Steam profile page and posthistory as well. Utopian/Se7en also confirm he changed the name of his gog account https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_community_giveaway_6th_edition/post9226 I'm not going to leak DMs unless BenKii agrees, but I'm sure he'll corroborate. Unfortunately, BenKii did nothing with it.

I brought up the posthistory evidence to (ø,ø) about 3 days ago, and (ø,ø) wanted to post about it in the forums, though I asked (ø,ø) to approach BenKii about it. I don't like how you are lambasting (ø,ø) though, while letting Utopian/Se7en off the hook. The question is really, did Utopian/Se7en break the rules of the thread? After all, he hasn't bothered to remove his slurs and death threats

The discretion is in BenKii's hands, of course, but I was the impression that the rules were applicable only to "the community". Is it a false assumption that in this case the community isn't restricted solely to the GOG forums/GOG services, but everywhere, all at once? I would consider formally requesting a change if it were the latter, as it only encourages this odd behaviour of stalking people, dredging up dirt on them... that anything that can be perceived as rude, said anywhere at any time, may render someone ineligible of a service or reward of a completely separate entity is disturbing to me.

No-one is letting Se7en off the hook. But it is not our business to judge him. Only that of BenKii.

You're a dirty rat, my friend, scurrying about in the shadows of the sewers collecting information on people in their worst possible moments, utilising it only as a means to attempt to discredit them. At least your personality is clear for everyone to see, now that you have stepped out into the sunlight.

Thanks. We are under BenKii's discretion to participate in this event, period. There's no need for public accusations, as no one benefits from that approach. Because of this, I will stop talking right here.
I ask for respect for everyone involved, starting with BenKii.
On a positive note, Big thanks to the anonymous donor and BenKii for Sir Whoopass and Duck Paradox!
The unselfish concern for the welfare of others isn't easy at all, but despite that, it is something significant here. Thanks to everyone for making it happen.
Wow. Just as a friendly reminder, this thread is NOT the place for this kind of "discussion." Blue names have chimed in about this kind of drama in the past, go take this to this thread.
